Day 51 Flowering of The Church and Blueberry Head Band:

The Church buds look like they are swelling up very nicely, and the tops are running down the stem about 7" as a whole banana shaped bud on 4 of the tops. The pistils are about 95% white 5% orange and all the trichomes are completely clear still, so a good 15-25 days on this one I predict.

Blueberry Headband is also coming along nicely. This plant is gonna yield BIG! Each bud site on the tops are starting to close their gaps between the nodes, and there is a very generous sprinkling of trichomes all over the buds. Gently rubbing the bud produces a blueberry flavor jollyrancher smell....awesome smell :) I predict this one has at least another 3-4 weeks to go.

Gonna try and get some plants added to the flowering tent really soon, because I don't want to have to wait too long in between harvests :( Even if that means having to pull the Qrazy Train plants i just topped using the mainlining method a little early into flowering.....I popped a Querkle seed from TGA the other day...as well as a DNA RockLock. Only the Querkle has sprouted so far, and it looks like a weakling plant, so not sure how it will go....

Anyway, here's the pictures. The 4 Cola one is Blueberrry headband and the multi-cola one is The Church

Hey man.. Just wondering how much yr pulling out of the flowering room each time and how many watts of light you have in it? Do you have much trouble with light leaking from the tent and then in turn bugs being attracted to the light? I'm gonna be buying a 5x5 tent in a week or so and been trying to research all I can. Spo many different brand and a range of prices.

I average about 4 ounces per plant that I vegg 3-4 weeks, but some plants i can get an ounce per gallon soil used (The Flav, I ended up pulling 5.25 ounces). I harvested 15 ounces the first harvest i ever did on this tent, because I started her up with 4 girls, and they ended up being harvested all within the same week or two. It all depends on the strain really and how long you vegg it first before flowering. That tent is really good with no light leaks...you might see a tiny pinhole of light around the zipper, but nothing that is gonna attract bugs. It zips up securely. And right now i got 2 x 400watt going, but when I get some more plants in there I'm turning on my 3rd 400watter because I recently received my 3rd aircoolable reflector, yay :)

Definitely man if you invest in air cooled reflectors and a nice 6" inline fan you'll be good with temperatures as long as you can direct the hot air somewhere out of the room

last grow i did was three plant under 2200w of light and i got almost 5 pound dry but only 1 pound was real big buds the rest just b grade. I was battling a 35 degree average temp outside and temps were way too hot inside the room and i swore id get an aircon by next grow... i've instead decided to downsize everything and upgrade all my hardware. think ill go these shades and see what improvements i can make before getting an a/c for summer.

Yea the first thing before AC you wanna do is always get air coolable fixtures, because if your ambient temperature is in the 70's and 80's (Fahrenheit) outside your grow tent, you can easily maintain a good temperature inside the tent if you have a powerful enough inline fan to keep the lights cool and second one to pull in the cooler ambient air outside..... But once you hit 88F or more you are definitely better off going with AC unless you want really fluffy buds and a possible drop in harvest.

Here are my two girls, Blueberry Headband and The Church, at day 56 flowering.

The Church is starting to get more orange hairs and trichome production is really pronounced now. Still packing on the weight as well. I gave her a bit of molasses along with her watering tonight.

Blueberry Headband is coming along nicely at week 8 flowering. Still has some loose buds, but they are filling in slowly but surely. The buds have been focused at gaining a lot of girth here lately, but I'm guessing they will fill in more densely the last week or so of flowering. Also gave this girl a shot of molasses with her water.

The newbie to the flowering tent is the trifolate Qrazy Train (sex unknown). I decided to go ahead and move her in to flowering a bit early just because I have a constant need for bud, and don't want to go 2 whole months between harvesting. So had to hurry her along. I still have 3 clones of her that are currently rooting in my vegg tent.

Anyway, here's the progress...sorry for shitty pictures, phone camera.

OK, awesome, a tent grow where the plants are not dying from the supposed "gas" that a tent puts out..... It is nice to see a great success story

lol what gas are you talking about man?
Never mind i just read about it online. Man, that's why I only buy stuff made in the USA or Canada. Fuck China! Anything made in China can stay the hell out of my grow room. Even my inline fans, controllers, and electrical box are made in the USA.
Says something about the tents that put out noxious gas are made in China and instead of being reflective mylar inside, the bad tents have white pvc....obviously PVC is poisoness, so it makes sense not to use it in a grow. That's why I don't even use 5 gallon home depot buckets to grow in anymore....pvc has plastic hardeners in it that are poisoness when heated up.

Sorry for any of you guys/gals keeping up with my thread.....been extremely busy with LPN school hahaha, but I have not forgotten about my plants. The Church ended up getting harvested on day 67 and is now on its first full day in jars curing.

Flowering Tent

Blueberry Headband - Day 73 This big ole plant is taking a bit longer than I figured to mature...still figure she has a good 2 weeks to go....about 70% white 30% orange pistils and plenty of buffing up of the buds left to go.....the smell is totally blueberry with a slight fuel hint....VERY strong smell when rubbed. I took a lower wispy bud off a couple days back and let it dry on top of one of the lights....4 days later that shit was some one hitter quitter!! Looking VERY promising both in quality and quantity. Just taking her time.......

Qrazy Train #1 -- Day 7-- First day flowering was August 29 for this gal. I'm starting a new trend with this plant....counting flowering days from the first day I see pistils, instead of my old technique which was starting the flowering day count at the first day i switched the plant to 12/12 lighting....this technique proved to be about 10-12 days off from seed manufactorer harvest time...anyway. I took 3 clones of this #1 plant which is a proven female. She has a slightly sweet smell that isn't too strong when the stem is rubbed.

QT #1 Clone 1 -- Day 3 -- this gal is a clone of QT #1 and was put into a 1 gallon pot instead of the usual 5 gallon smart pots i use. I'm about to start trying for more smaller plants to try and maximize my lighting and experiment with keeping a mother plants or two instead of popping seeds every new grow. This one is not getting topped, trying to let her grow how she wants, and she is proving to be a good SOG plant so far.

Qrazy Train #2 -- Day 4 -- this is a different seed Qrazy Train that proved to be a female. I took 2 clones of this plant, but they were just taken 3 days ago so they have not rooted yet. This plant smells VERY strong like rotten grape poo when the stem is rubbed. Hoping this plant proves to be a keeper ;)

I also have just put in my tent tonight a Querkle....obviously hasn't shown sex yet, but this plant is short and stout....hoping she stretches out some actually.....so i put her about 1.5 feet from the lights in hopes that she stretches a good bit in the first 2 weeks of flowering. I'll probably take a couple clones off this plant if she proves female.

Vegging Tent:

QT #1 Clone 2 and 3 are vegging. I'm going to keep one vegging so i can take clones off of it jsut to keep her alive until the QT #1 is ready for harvest.

QT #2 Clone 1 and 2 are still rooting....hoping they both make it through because the mother smells mighty potent in the first few days of flowering.

Paradise Seeds Opium - Day 8 of vegg...this feminized seed is getting off to a slow start, but i moved her from a small solo cup to a .5 gallon bucket in hopes that she picks up the pace.

Flowering Tent:

Well, blueberry headband (first picture) is on her last week of flowering whether she likes it or not....she is getting cut down at day 84 which will be this next Saturday night. It has been a very long 12 weeks, and while I am not satisfied with the long flowering time when they were said to be only 9 weeks, but the amount of trichomes, the absolute best fuel blueberry smell, and the gigantic buds more than make up for the long flowering time of this plant. Hoping she swells up a bit more in the next 6 days and the trichomes go on ahead and turn more amber.

As for the rest of the tent, the newcomers are coming along beautifully! Both Qrazy Train #1 (10 days) and #2 (7 days) are flowering nicely now and look almost flawless. QT1 is the 4th picture and QT2 is the 5th picture). They are loving the weather, which has allowed me to turn the A/C off and opt for inline fan instead to pull in the nice outside 60F air :) Inside the tent, I am running 3 400watt lights now, so everything is nice and bright! Temps are steady at 80F throughout the light cycle.

The plant in the smaller 1 gallon container is a QT#1 clone which is doing very nicely as a SOG plant. I only vegged this plant for 7 days after it rooted, and she looks like she is gonna throw up a very nice main bud. She is at day 5 flowering.

And last but not least, the plant that hasn't shown sex yet is Querkle (2nd picture).....hoping she turns out to be a female :) She has stretched out a bit from the last picture I took 5 or 6 days ago, which is a very good thing and is what I was aiming for. If she turns out to be female, i'll end up taking a couple clones.

Vegging tent:

2 x QT1 --- one is in a 2 gallon pot and will be vegged for a total of 12 days (from rooting) before putting her over to flowering tent. The other QT1 clone is in a 5 gallon pot so i can grow her out in order to get more clones.

2 x QT2 --- I think both have successfully rooted as there is top growth starting to sprout up....few more days and these will go into 1 or 2 gallon pots. One might end up going to a 5 gallon just so i can take more clones of this one too....

1 x Paradise Seeds Opium --- This plant is REALLY slow to vegg for some reason, and im really unsure why because it is not showing any kinds of nutrient stress or any stress at all really....it is just not growing fast. Been about 16 days from sprout and she is only just starting 2nd internode growth and is only about 2 inches tall...but anyway time will tell. Hopefully she'll explode with growth soon.

Enough jabber, here's pictures of flowering tent

Here's some random shots of the girls on the 11th....people probably gonna talk shit about Blueberry headband being too hairy and not ready yet, but the trichomes are literally 50cloudy 50 amber no clear, so she gets cut down tonight. Very sativa-like buds, but this plant is still gonna yield huge....im thinking 4-5 ounces. walked in to the tent earlier and she was leaning from the massive bud weight

Ya man im thinkin 4-5 as well haha Nice job!
Thanks bro! Yea I let her sit out of the tent for the past 48 hours in complete darkness and the buds have actually gotten a bit more dense and a lot more frosty than those pictures a few days ago. She smells great! Blueberry all the way with just a hint of fuel smell. Resin coated buds galore......not too worried about trimming every piece of leaf off hahaha.

There will definitely be a smoker report made on this strain....I already know it is gonna be some VERY strong shit, as I fast dried about a gram of it a few days back and it got me ripped. It ran circles around my 2 week cured The Church...

Already got some of her trimmed, here's a couple pictures with my shaky hands lol. I thought i took a picture of both wires i got buds hanging on so far, but only got 1 of em....so I'll have about 5x that much to hang here pretty soon

I recently got my 3rd 400watt back up and running (in an air cooled fixture finally) but this was just recently within the past week since I got the Blueberry Headband out of the tent. Got the 3rd light in a much smaller fixture than the other 2, which is cutting down on the light footprint, but I'm hoping to get a longer sealed fixture to put in there soon....this little Euro one is just a temporary fix to make sure my temps stay in the low 80's. Here lately temp has been 79 lights on 72 lights off. I'll get some new pictures up this weekend to show off the Qrazy Train's and my lone Querkle

P.S. Ended up pulling 4 ounces off blueberry so far, but I still have 2 nice sized branches drying....so I'm gonna say this was my biggest single plant harvest at an estimated 5.5 ounces at least....final numbers will be in by Saturday and I'll get a smoke report up in another week or two when she cures....already got the 4 ounces in jars curing and the other 2 branches just got trimmed and hung.

Thanks for the interest Kybuds! It gets lonely in here sometimes hahaha
