It is literally called weed because of how it grows.
It is not a rare, precious plant because of nature, it is because of prohibition. Artificial barriers inflating the price.
I can see if it is something that a commercial grow can flip and clone out, but not for a gromie.
I am getting into cloning to make sense of paying 10 bucks or more for a reg seed. The whole reason I got into growing was to spend about what I do on the mid/budget shelf and get a better quality and more consistent smoking experiences (I dislike the trend of an ever changing menu), and then work on improving my ROI in better quality/lower cost over time.
I get sucked in at the seedbanks, and seeing other grower's efforts and I want to try to grow and smoke it all, but my wallet reminds me that most of that is marketing. Charging me 20 bucks for the chance I might enjoy the genetics, and requiring investment into time and the kit for an indoor grow. In comparison for 60-80 bucks I can find full bud mids at a dispo that might not be fire, but they can be pleasant.
Sometime Miller High Life will fill a need when Chimay would have been a nicer option.
