$5,000 for a Grow Room, What Would You Do?

This is a situation I need information on for a book I'm writing. It's a fiction novel and the protagonist is, of course, investing in an indoor grow. He has 5,000 to dollars to set up the op, and 9-11 months until he must have his first harvest. I'm not going to get ultra specific and turn my story into a grow guide, but I want this aspect to be realistic.

The goal is to get the most weed by the 9-11 month deadline.

This would help me out alot and I think it'd be a fun exercise for the members here, as well as make for an interesting read for all the noobies.
