Im having GREAT difficulty locating 42w (or anything higher than 28w for that matter) CFLs in South Australia.

Can anyone tell me where to find some?
Im guessing im going to have to resort to an online store,
but even then its difficult to find one.

Any help?

Ive tried..
Hardware Stores (Bunnines, Mitre 10, Home Hardware)
Grocery Stores (Coles, Woolies)
Hydro Stores.. (Only had 150w+ CFLs EXPENSIVE ><")

Halp? :-?

Depends what state. Im pretty sure WA is the only state that allows 1 or 2 outdoor plants for personal use.
Im not from there. :-?

And even if I was, growing indoors has so many benefits.
You can control the environment completely, heat, moisture, pests, light.. everything.
Indoor grow time can be alot lower than outdoor.

Anyone help with the CFLs?

No sorry cant help with that, just wanted to know about the outdoor/indoor thing. Tho it keeps your thread at the top of the pile.

EDIT: felt bad so I went looking for a thread I thought was asking the same question but it was for a person in England. went like 14 pages back and couldnt find anything. Sorry

okay im sorta in the same boat as you mate im from the top end and have been thinking of setting up a cheap clone n veg room to help my babys at the start of their lives. no to the problem at hand i also couldn't find much and where i live we have the same stores u listed, in the end i purchased a bunch of 23w lights from bunnings, they get the job done but only for the first few weeks due to the lights possiitioning, anyways i found a really cheap website for hydro suplys online for australia and they have some CFLs rated at 100w (400w inc) they seem pritty decent and am probly going to purchase a few myself eventually anyways they are around $50-$60 each not sure if thats cheap to wat uv been looking at, just pressuming No, due to the fact that all the other cfls iv seen at hydro stores here locally or online usually are around the $100-$120 range. If you want a link send me a pm and ill find the website for you.

reckon hardware stores would be best bet, or ebay. i got 2 125w CFLs off ebay for $50 a while back, keep an eye out on there as some of the larger sizes pop up now and then for a good price.

To find them I had to search for "Energy saving lights" instead of "CFL" or "Compact Fluorescent".
The guy I brought them off sells 32w CFLs in lots of 5, in either spectrum (2700k 6500k).

I brought 5x 32w 6500k and 5x 32w 2700k for $75AU including postage.

Plus he threw in an extra 32w 2700k for nothing.

So its about $7 a globe including postage, im happy with that.

Aye i think i found the guy. But where can you buy bayonets that are able to clip into a power point cable? I seen some that place there globes into the bayonet adapters and plug them in a power plug. WHERE DO I GET THAT.
