I'm in a dilemma here. I'm a little over 4 weeks into flowering for my first grow and I finally ran into my first big n00b mistake, (or at least I feel it is). I should've transplanted her when I put her outside a month ago, however I didn't predict her to bud and grow this fast. I have her in a 2 Gallon pot (I KNOW) and I need to get her roots spread out again to flourish...
I've been told I can do what's called Layer Caking, where I poke holes in the side of the pot and get a pot size larger, fill 1/4 with dirt, place smaller pot in, then put dirt around the rest of the pot. The roots ideally grow through the holes and develop in the soil of the bigger pot. Has anyone tried this and has it been successful?
Should I just transplant her and deal with stunning the roots? or give "Layer Caking" a shot and if so, do I just go one size up, a 3 gal or should I just go ahead and get a 5 gal? Since this is my first grow, and I'm this far along, I really don't want to mess ANYTHING else up. Any advice would be appreciated. I need to do something this weekend about it or she'll probably start to die ever so slowly. =/
