Yea I’m hoping to get this runnif Bodhi Seeds perfect. Nothing is worse than the pop of a small hidden seed from late bananas. It actually enrages me. Lol

I think it’s lower in the castings. I’m gonna try adding a bit more to the veg plants when I up pot the rest.[/QUOT
If u wanna go worm casting why dont add soil to ure mix . 2/8 coco 2/8 perlite 1/8 castings 3/8 soil . Add some zeolite in there. Im trying coco. Perlite and castings i find i dont know wether feed coco base. Etc.

Maybe too much castings is cause of too slow drying.

Then try straight coco. Or coco perlite. I think alot easier for ppl that need different feeds and things as thier not a room of clones. Go salts in your coco and then in soil you get worm casting and make compost teas. Also u can add salts low ec every so often if u have something lacking and u dont or cant afford all organic dry supps

With current mix and nutes..I don’t see any deficiencies from seedling all the way til end of flower. They truly just stay green from top to bottom and nice lift of fan leaves. It’s at the end that I start to lose it with some of the plants. Burnt tips. Droop leaves. I really don’t want to do coco. I’ve been kinda inching my way into more of an organic thing.

The plants under fluros do smell stronger. Not only that, they finish faster and appear to be frostier. Under the hps, they stall a bit at the end. The finish is stretched out longer than with more blue spectrum. I’m going to try a Eye Hortilux super hps next time I flower here in a few weeks. Hoping the added blue spectrum will help some. I was harvesting too early also so that was a big problem of mine regarding quality. Taking them to a full finish this time. If I had th money to play around with right now I’d get a CMH as I really like what I’m seeing and hearing. I really like the more natural light look. Hell, if I had enough t5 lighting and cfl lighting for this next group going into flower I’d use them over the hps bulb I have. Heard a lot about terpenes driving the effects. A guy explain it like the thc and CBd are like vehicles and the terpenes are the fuel That drives them. You want rich terpene development.
Well cfl is like closer to led than hps or mh. Why not run both. Or have u tried dropping 30min a week off ure ligh time in flower till 10on 14 off. Its meant to help show more of its genetic potential as in autum it doesnt go exactly 12 h a day some days ull get dark cool days. Outdoor plants love that so why should it not help indoor. The less light also will slow your finishing but it gives the plant time to get closer to a full plant of equal trichome % white to amber. While it swells and gives a bigger window for the chop.

I’ve thought about lowering light hours at the end..and then i get paranoid about causing bananas. Not sure if that could up the chances on a plant that’s already prone. Though it does mimic nature more so perhaps it could also help with banana issues in some cases. I’m going to run the Eye Hortilux super hps with enhanced blue this next flower coming up. You’re right though about supplementing with cfl. I’ll do both. I’m looking at cmh for the future. Idk why but Led just don’t appeal to me. I can’t accept it. Lol. Heat is gonna be an issue in the summer. I know led run less heat.

Yeah blooms the most genetic traits wiegh in and have most effect. I like soil when its got worms in there as there crusing round making nutrients for you. Nutrients like 1.6 ec highest in flower wk 4 the rest is 1 ec or below. Or outdoor i use microbial innoculants. Cheaper than live microbes. As u have a community of things making the soil better.

I was overlooking that. I think I’ve hit them too hard with nutes . I’ve been going same strength this whole time.
