Can't go wrong with those nutes. Definately watch for the Cal/Mag deficiency with the R/O water. I am feeding with a 1/4 dose and it was not enough so wen't to the 1/2 dose. Seems to be slowing down now.

Oh ya, welcome to the thread.

Well it's official, I have 4 girls for sure now. Wooo Hooo!!! Finally have hairs on all of them. I can't believe that I was that lucky to pull for females for this go round. Now if they are as potent as Ziva I will be so freaking stoked!

Side note on the 12/12 from seed. I don't think I would do that again using cfl's. I don't think there is enough lumen's to get the plant to size before she flowers. I will probably try it again when I get the 400w, but not before then. The plants in the box now are approximately all the same age and she is dwarfed compared to the regular veg girls. Look at pic 1, you can really see the diff.

Got the pro tekt yesterday and already fed two of them with it. Still working on the one little girl, she still needs a little N as you can see in pic 12. Also put in some of the PK x at 6 days old. 100% germination but got a little mutant that didn't develop the leaves correctly but I am gonna let it go and see what she does. The last 2 were slow to pop as you can see but they are coming up so hope they are as vigorous as there siblings that came up at day 3?

Why do the pics post out of order now!

Quick update to shoe the PK's Three of them have done really well but the last three had to be laid to rest. That little mutant seed died from damp off and the other two were just growing to slow. I went ahead and planted 3 more so we will wait for them to sprout and see what happens.

The girls under the lights. I have a lockout going with the 12/12 seedling and she has stopped growing. I am going to flush her really well and up-can her to the three gal pot so I can have a look at here roots also. Till then, no pics of her.lol

Looking great

On a topic you mention earlier, ro water and cal mag. Did you add dolomite to your soil? Do you add molasses? The reason I ask is because when I mixed my soil I was quite liberal with the lime and also I add blackstrap molasses to the water both of which supplement cal and mag. I am of the thinking that this along with the Dynagro which I use in conjunction with Jack's will supply the cal mag needed as I need to watch out for cal block you know? Just want your take and thoughts as you have gone through that.

Hey illumination, Thanks for the compliments.

The soil I use has some lime in it but I don't think it is enough. I bought some of the Espoma(spelling?) garden lime to add to the next batch of soil I make. I am going to use it for the PK x's I have going now. I am going to add a nice heavy tsp per gallon when I mix it up. I also think some of my problem was to little N2 for them. Switched to the foliage pro from Dyna-Gro and the seem to be doing way better. I also got my Pro-teKt with silica so that should help with their nute intake. I also have some Cal/Mag from cutting edge solutions that I received as sample's so I am going to make up a fol-liar spray to use if needed.

On a side note. I added another 65w 2700k bulb from Lowe's(16.98+ tx). I love these bulb's because they are 4200 lumen's so the give better penetration. I think I needed it because I am running four plants this time and I want one over each of the girls. So this brings the total of watts to 508w. Here is what is in there now.

2ea. 65w 2700k= 130w(Lowe's)
1ea. 68w 2700k= 68w(Home Cheapo)
7ea. 23w 2700k= 161w(Home Cheapo Contractors Pac)
3ea. 23w 6500K= 69w(Lowe's)
1ea. 40w 3500k= 40w(Lowe's)
1ea. 40w 5000K= 40w(Lowe's)

I plan on adding one more 68w to the box and that will do it. Give me a total of 553w. This way I will have each plant under its own 65w. Now I know you guys are thinking, why not just buy a 400/600w and be done with it? Well when I first read that you can grow a plant under cfl's and it will produce some good smoke, I gotta say I thought "bullshit". So I did some more reading and thought I can do this! The wife is not sure about the whole deal yet and after the first grow I do not blame her. Well she wasn't letting loose of the purse strings to make that big of an investment until I can prove I can grow killer plant under what I have already. It was easier to get $20 from her than $200. Well I finish number 2/3 grow and I am so happy the girls turned out the way they did!!! She asked and I gave it to her as you have seen from the thread that my 2 girls turned out to be some awesome smoke. They could have been better but what the hell, I'm still learning.

So now the good news is she gave me the go ahead for the new space! Not a box this time but an actual area. It will probably be more like an over sized closet with different chambers built into it for different stages. I plan on the overall being 5'D x 8'W x 8'H. The flowering area will be 5x5x8 with a table built for the girls so I can roll it out to water and rotate them around easier. The table will be lined so I can make it rain on em in place and it will drain into a Gal bucket. The other remaining 3' will be divide into the remaining chambers for clones and veg. Not exactly sure how they will be divided but I bet I will figure it out. I will be using the cfls for veg and I am going to buy the 400w CMH for my flower bulb. Whooohooo! Man I can't wait. I plan on starting around the end of this month and will start a thread when I do.

I made around 4 cu. ft. of soil and put in 4 big cups of powdered dolomite lime in with it.... Also chk out Azomite

they are looking great dude... Have a great fourth and enjoy... dont forget to smoke some dank with that beer and bbq

Congratulations on the ladys big trust me that the 400w will be awesome, I used a 250w hps for my first grow and was very pleased with the results. I'm only using the 400w cus my plants got bigger then I planned and the amount of light the 400 kicks out compared to the 250w is amazing

Me to my friend. I think it is the kick in the pants thes girls are needing. Since I am supplying 3 people with my set-up, going to the CMH seems to be the solution to the short commings of the CFL. Don't get me wrong, As for the quality of smoke produced, I believe it is the same as with a HID set-up. It is the quantity that I am looking to increase. Between the three of us we smoke around 2 grams a day. It just depends on how we each are feeling that day. Some days are better than others so the use goes up or down.

No doubting the lighting upgrade will increase your yields bigman I'll always stand by the quality of CFL grown buds but lets face it, we could all do with just that bit more bud All looking good there.

Thanks MS, I am definitely with ya on the quality. Ziva was the next best thing to a one hitter quitter and I am sure she would have gotten better with a proper cure? She went pretty fast because I felt my Karma telling me to "share the wealth" if ya know what I mean? No one I shared with outside my inner circle new I grew this and they all were loving it! I also have to say that these are people who have been partaking for at least a minimum of 25 years and who smoke 350$ an OZ stuff. Most asked if I could get more but I had to tell em no because I am not in it for any type of profit. My plan is to pass along some of what I harvest to a select few people who are unable to afford medicine of this quality. Hopefully this will keep me in good with the Ganja Gods.

Its always great when the experienced smokers pay you a compliment like that It makes the sharing all the more enjoyable. I was just working out that I first tried weed back in 1977 at the age of 19! I don't recall all the 'fancy' named strains that are around now, and mostly over here (UK) it was Jamaican import weed or Moroccan Hash. Do you smoke with friends bigman? that's one thing I miss recently, one of lifes great pleasures ..... Ah, now I've gone all nostalgic on you!

May I put in a request for a pic of the 12/12 from seed and age on her? I just started 2 12/12 from seed under 104watts of cfl, but will be putting in a 100 watt CMH to replace them this weekend, if I can get it all wired and mounted.
