+rep - Great grow and details keeping the thread updated. I'm also growing Papaya, however, not in soil. My sprout transplant date was 11/08 and the first technical "week" was 11/15 -> 11/22 since they were just breaking out of the cubes the first few days after the 8th.

You've done a great job keeping your thread going and I look forward to the future updates on your progress.

i switched bulbs from the mh to the hps. going from a 24/0 light cycle to an 18/6 starting tomorow.

still fighting with the gnats, fewer and fewer everyday. part of going organic....

i see a papaya club in the near future. :peace:

Kevin...why did you switch from MH to HPS during veg and also change from 24/0 to 18/6?

It really is better to keep veg with MH...you really do get more lush and stocky plants.

Also, changing your light schedule to much causes the plant stress. Your plants are looking stressed right now as it is. You are right though, they do look better.

I have my plants on a 20/4 on/off schedule. I actually want to change them to 24/0, but I'm not going to and instead going to wait until the next grow for this. Like I said, changing the light schedule causes the plants stress.

BTW, the reason I want to change to an always on light schedule (which I'm not doing for this grow), is I've been reading that cannabis ACTUALLY does not need a rest period and as long as it gets light, it will photosynthesize. I'll find out by comparing my current grow with the next one. For now though, I'm on 20/4....

Keep it up man and it will turn out. Now that you've changed the light schedule and bulb to HPS...leave it be and let things proceed as planned. Changing back would only cause more stress ;-). Plant stress=bad ... it will affect your final yield. At least this is what most folks say.

Keep it up, may the force of cannabis be with you.

i've decided to keep the lights at 24/0. i'm going to add a couple of 4 ft t5's, 4100k.

on my first grow, i had 1 plant out of 4 that got nute burn easy and the other 3 looked good. the 1 turned out to be a female, now this time around i have 2 out of 3. i wonder if fem plants are more likely to nute burn.

i need to do a bunch of reading today. i want to get some seeds out of this crop.

something else i need to start thinking about is a carbon air scrubber, starting to get a sweet smell in the house. kind of a fruity good smell. i made one but it had a hard time getting rid of cigarette smell. i really doubt if it could keep up with this.

thanks for the advice mary, i just wanted to see if changing the light spectrum would help with what i'm thinking might be a little heat stress. the hps burns hotter. it brought temps from the low 70's to the low 80's.

the hps bulb made all the differnce in the world. they are looking good. i will feed them tomorow night with fox farms grow big mixed at quarter strenghth. i also raised the plants about 12" from the light. still fighting the gnats with neem oil, the little bastards.. if they aren't gone by this weekend i'm bombing them. :peace:

hey douche nozzle, i read yours and volcomriders threads last night. i'm thinking i nute burned them. i'm going to continue feeding with straight water for another week or so.

thats what it looks like to me (nute burn)... my peppers and other plants will do that blistering if i burn them... ive just never seen it on weed before:confused:....
what kind of soil are you using? does it have any ferts in it already??

hey gogrow, i'm using miracle grow organics no ferts added.

i let the soil dry all the way out, then watered with big bloom mixed at quarter strength this morning. they are looking good and smelling even better, as soon as you walk in the house that sweet smell hits you. i'll get some pics up later.

but 4 now i need to get myself in the kitchen and start baking some kick ass deserts to take to my brothers house for the feast.

he seems happy and fat, and i see even fewer bugs. i don't think he's a plant eating lizzard?

the plants are doing much better today, i was scared of burning them again with the feeding they got yesterday.

Looking great. I love your little friend. Mother nature has been at work for millions of years so it must work as good or better than anything in a bottle. I have a few new pics up in my grow also. I decided to Lst one plant as an expirement. Later.

Hey Kevin - Things are looking great in here! You really helped your plants to bounce back, great job. I agree with everyone...your lizard is darn cool. Just keep an eye on his habits ;-)

I'm glad to be back from my trip to take care of my babies. They are catching up to your babies :) sweet!
