Talking in terms of yield. A 315w CMH can only yield about what 400-450w of HPS can.
Quality wise it's hard to beat CMH

I love the QBs myself and do own a 315cmh but only use it as a veg light in summer. I cant say which is best for flower because I only used it for half the flower period while waiting for my boards to arrive. For me its just not ideal coverage since I was running a 4x8 for flower. So I wont say which is better. But I can say the Quantum boards are amazing lights.
Anyhow I'm really only replying because if I read your post right your planning on 2 plants in 3 gal pots.
If that's the case I would highly recommend going up to 5gal or maybe 7 gal and going with cloth pots if you want to make the most out of either light and the space you have.

CMH weed is a lot better than LED weed. I used the 315s for years and have been moving to LED lately due to space restrictions. I really miss my 315s, you can yield a lot of weed with LEDs, but I don't even feel like vaping anymore when all I have is LED weed.
But my non-drug plants are all under QBs as well and they're really loving them.

I was thinking about moving to 5s, but my tent is so small lol. I do have cloth pots. Can you learn me as to why the 5gals would be better? I do have a 100w QB and I agree, this light is stoopid bright and seems well put together with quality components.

That's what I keep reading. The 315s yield well, and seem to be very high quality grows. I just really like the QB. Im heavily leaning towards the Solis Tek 315 CMH. I forgot to mention the pots will be kind soil with Coco loco.

I do, I haven't really been able to find any yield reports for QB boards. I don't suppose you have any G/watt report from your own or trust worthy second hand source?

Since I already have a 100w QB I'll be adding it as an additional light source. The final set up is still in the air, full on QB, or CMH Solis Tek C1 315W. Best of both worlds? Lol

Dont have a quantum board so couldn't tell you how it compares but cmh works great for me and i use some leds on sides of them to boost the intensity. Also sometimes use it between my hps to help with uv and quality of spectrum.

Im looking at the Solis Tek 315 or sun system 315 kit. And of course any other recommendations.
I have a few things holding me back. I keep reading that Phillips discontinued the 3100k bulb, but I still see them for sell.. What gives? Lol
Do you think a cmh 315 would be good in a 3x3x64, soil cloth pots, maybe 2, 3 max 3 gallon pots with a 100w QB 3000k on the side. Kind soil Coco loco mix.
