Alright, we have the first tray done (3 plants) and it took 13 one quart mason jars. The dry trimmed weight so far is 16.5oz. We'll finish the final dry and trim of the remaining 12 plants over the next few days.

Oh also, I just weighed the monster AK (with stems and less final trim) and it was 42 grams. I'm sure it still has a lot to lose, but damn, that thing is a beast.

Harvest Update #2
We're done with all seven of the lemon drops now which came to 1043 grams. This has seriously been exhausting. Eight more plants to go. Hopefully they will all be done this weekend. Also, the curing process has started with the first set of lemon drops. They are all dated and time stamped. I'm going to bed.

What a mess the end of this grow became. Throughout the final trim we noticed basically every top cola throughout the Cheese's, Sour Diesel's, and Ak-47's showed small traces to large amounts of mold. I don't know what most people do with those plants, but we just scrapped the branch and all that was left on it. In all we probably lost a little more than a pound to mold . It was depressing way to end such a great experience. Although I will say that we learned a shit load about growing, and next time these mistakes will not occur.

Anyway, here are the final dry numbers.

Man...sorry to hear about the mold. That's definitely a big hit.. On the positive side though... 4.5 lbs is still a pretty impressive harvest! Do you guys have any idea why or where it came from? I mean your humidity and temps were pretty dialed in weren't they? Bummer.

Like you said though, learning experience. I can only imagine that your next grow will be even more intense. Thanks for all the inspiring pics! Keep up the good work and let us know if you start a new thread! :bigjoint:

Wow. So you woulda' been close to six pounds had it not been for the mold. Pity. But hey, great harvest just the same.

It makes sense, though. When you're dealing with such a massive volume of plant matter, you have to take special care to control the jungle environment. I'm sorry I didn't see that one coming as I'm only experienced with a much smaller scale... I did, however, get a spot of mold at the core of one of my Ice colas on my first grow.

What was your average humidity there during mid to late bloom?

What an awesome journal!!! I am planning a 3000 watt grow pretty soon, first grow ever. I was wondering what the avg change in your electricity bill was? I'm pretty paranoid about a huge jump in electricity. Any info would help. Anywho, great grow!

Humidity and temp were very dialed in from early on. We are pretty sure the reason was just not enough air flow (lack of fans) throughout the canopy. We only used one big fan and two small fans even though we had several more in the closet. I guess we were just concerned with wind burn and didn't realize what was growing inside the buds. Also, our medium was recessed in the pots anywhere from 3 to 6 inches, which caused a lack of light to reach the base of the plant. Both of these issues will be corrected in the next cycle.

As far as the herming, we still don't know. Maybe genetics, or maybe changing the light cycle a few times throughout.

Yes it would have been close to six pounds without the mold. It's sort of hard to say how much we lost because at first we just ripped out massive amounts and threw them away. Later on we decided to trim up the moldy shit and throw it in jars. The moldy buds that we saved weighed seven oz, and we estimate that we the stuff we didn't weigh was probably 10 ounces to maybe a pound.

The humidity in the room was anywhere from 40 to 55 percent late in flower. What do you keep yours at?

Also, I should let you know that we ended up throwing out the moldy buds that we saved. The whole point in trimming and drying them was just a way to see how much we lost.

Thanks for reading. The average power bill at our house was about $150. First month of grow I think was around $230, second month $280 and the last bill was $210 or so. There was definitely a spike, but it wasn't at bad as we thought it might be.

No worries man. If I would have known how to subscribe sooner I would have been here lol besides, we all get busy. I'm actually moving out of my house next week, and all 12 of my 34 day flowering plants have to leave with me. Should make for an exciting story lol

Hey, I just noticed this douche who doesn't know shit about growing. He hasn't posted anything since June. I'm hoping that's because he got banned.
I read through his posts on other people's threads and realized he was just being a troll.
