I have been vegatating my big bud plants for almost 3 months and only went 12/12 a couple of days ago, I was wondering whether I have been vegatating for too long or whether you can vegatate for too long?

Hoping to find out sex of plants soon.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

It's all about how big you want em and how much space you have, knowing that they can (and do) double or even triple in size once you flip em to 12/12

mom nature veges for several months and she makes trees

Does this mean that im gonna have a bigger yield? The smallest plant is 18 inches and the biggest plant is 26 inches, im 2 days into 12/12 and I have started using bloom nutes, is this ok?

Damn love your avatar :)

not IMO as I use veg nutes thru-out to keep the plants healthy and green, by swirching this early you are gonna lose leaves towards the end and that will reduce your yield, should start bloom nutes in week 2 or 3 of 12/12

Dude you can veg a cannabis plant for years if you choose to do so all though it is not recomended i will normaly veg a mother for around 8/9 month's then take the best clone's that i can off then put her on 12/12 off but alot of room is needed for a mother plants of this age that is why it is best to keep takeing the tops and any top growth of a mother to keep her more wide than tall if you get me.I am not sure why you had to veg for that length of time you must be useing low intence lighting or something or you just want a big plant, because no longer than 4 weeks of vegging is normaly required for a cannabis plant that you are gonn flower. At 4 weeks under a light that is has low has a 250 h.p.s will reach a height of around 2 foot and more if useing a 600 has i do.And that would be with constant topping to train the plant to become more wide and have more tops. But you should have no problems some say that you can veg aplant indoors for years......................................tyke....................................................

Thanks, she is great isn't she.

I have used bloom nutes for 2 days, would it be worthwhile changing back to grow nutes?

Yeah man, the longer you veg the bigger and more yield you get. Just know that when your pretty far into flowering those things are going to be tremendous.

don't have to change back you could simply use veg nutes every 3rd feeding, but it is wise to wait till week 2 or 3 to start bloom nutes

I have got 9 big bud plants under a 600W HPS in a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2.0 grow tent, i'm hoping that they are not going to outgrow the tent, i'm gonna have to top them if they do start getting too tall. I vegged for so long cos I stunted their growth at the start by putting them in pots that were too small. I then put them in bigger pots and they were growing on a daily basis, this is my first grow so I wasn't sure how long to let them go, before I knew it they were 11.5 weeks old. Time flies when ya having fun. Lol.

Here is a pic of the inside of the tent, it looks a bit like an SOG setup.

Thanks for the advice though, really helpful. kiss-ass

ehhh, You will probably be fine to be honest. I mean those things are going to get big.....like BIG but by the time it gets to the point where it cant go any higher they will probably be ready for harvest anyway if not itll be like a week or so early, either that or move them into a better room or buy a bigger one, which is not something that you'd probably want to do.
