3 Leaves Per Node

I am currently growing this plant indoors. It came from 2 outdoor plants I crossed last year. The parents were a Skunk #1 Male and a Swazi Female. Haven't had a plant pop 3 leaves out of every node before so I was wondering if I could get any information on this "mutation" or w/e you would call. And also is the trait genetic? So say if I bred this plant with another could the 3 leaves per node gene maybe be passed on?

This is fairly common in south american sativas i hear. I had a lowryder #2 triploid that i planted outdoors and then brought indoors, she grew for a little while then died. Supposedly they usually stop growing or die well before they get mature, but of course this isnt always the case. i have a friend that grew a Safari Mix from Mandala that was a real nice sativa and it developed some triploid nodes during mid veg, it was a solid vigorous plant but it ended up being a male.

Ok thanks for the info...hopefully mine will make the exception ;) i can only imagine what the full buds on a plant like this would look like. I think i will keep a little grow journal on this plant, daily or every other day updates, so hopefully it will turn out alright and not die on me =P

its about 2 weeks old...4 full nodes of 3 leaves each...yes every node has 3 even the very first round lobed leaves that start at germ.

These are pictures of a NYC Diesel plant that was a polyploid/triploid. This isnt my plant, I think it was grown by an RIU member though, it was his first ever grow.

cool sounds like you have a true triploid, take good care of her. your plant's chromosomes arent in pairs, they're in sets of three thats the mutation that makes your plant a triploid/polyploid.

if you happen to get this tripliod/polyloid will the clones off of it be the same?

So nobody has anymore info on this? I would rlly like to know if this trait will pass on to the next gen. If I bred the plant.

what about cloning? will they keep the trait?
They should, Clones are 100% geneticaly identical to the mama..
Ill have to try an make some Trilapod clones With my Baby Chemo Iranian one.

I herd they yield about 1/3 more Bud due to the 3rd leaf? Anyone know if its true

3 other pics are shots of my own strain of some purple bud from last years grow.

Ooo and noone has answered my ? yet...anyone know if the triploid/polyploid trait will pass on through true breeding and NOT cloning...i dont do clones...prefer the natural way =P

Is it really this dead on RIU now? Whenever I had any ?'s a year or 2 ago I would have had 10 answers within a half hour lol
