It happens sometimes, and is pretty normal. If you get lucky, it will split into 3 tops if you top it, instead of two. Also, it looks like it's starting to stretch, so you might want to bring the lights a little closer, or add more. :)
 
the plant was stretched when i got it as it was in a closet with minimal lighting now the pants are getting the light ventilation that they need.

I'm thinking i might top it get 3 main colas will give it a few days then will decide what ti happen.

I found what its called "trifoliate" it mean it grows three nodes at one point instead of the regular twp
