What do you think of the Solar System 550's so far? Haven't found many reviews or anything on them yet with them being relatively new. I'll be receiving two of them later this month to add next to my Solarstorm 400.

did you guys get the controllers for the SS550's? supposed to be able to mimic sunrise/sunset like Heliospectra

also, how would you compare the Osram (is it the 2x2 model?) against the CLW so far??
Yes we have a controller.

The osram Zelion HL was $600 for 100 watts of ssl80. So the CLW being 400 watts of same ssl80 is a much much better purchase.

Manifolding technique is really kicking off with the indica dominant strains. Floor space is pretty full. Stretch is over so just filling out now. The seedlings added under timberdans timber grow light CXB kit are loving the light and catching up to the almost 3 month old mainlined plants.

So far both CLW SS 550 and timber grow lights are doing awesome. No complaints.

Whats that mean?? They do look blurple as fuuuhh.
Well CLWs controller only has 2 digit read outs for each spectrum. 450nm 660nm and white. So you can manually adjust each color from 0 - 99% of power 99 being full power. You can customize it so during veg you use 99% 450nm and say 30% for red and white. Then adjust to more red and white after stretch or whatever flavor you like. The programmer is automated so you can set up the light schedule for the full grow and do sunrise and sunset

I think the Pics look super burple because the CXBs in there. The osram Zelion HL looks way more burple even with the GGL

OP, third pic, left side, look at that girl stretched very nicely, she's gonna steal the show, what strain is that?

I'll have to confirm. I believe that is Zeus from cropking seeds. At this point the strongest strains are Zeus from cropkingseeds , PinkPussy from glowgod in denver.

Pretty nifty lookin.
What brand leds are used?
osram SSL. they say newer bin than the 2015 osrams (which rock).
Yes. Each SS 550 is covering 3'x4' in my grow prob a little more actually.
easily but give yourself some height. 24" would work well. i believe they use mostly ssl80s with some 150s (thats the angle). i talk with those guys fairly regularly. i think they would build out with the new SSL120s in the future which is pretty much perfect for an on-die angle imo

Nice! If they're newer bin than my Zelion HLs then these will for sure kick ass!!!

I have another friend that has some California Light Works ss550 and others close to finish. Trying to get those pics to post up.

From what the HID grower says I'm thinking he likes Timber Grow Lights CXB kits the most..... personally I just like how strong plants always seem under burple. Subjective but it's neat and if yeild is the same watt per watt then I don't know which is best.
