Think I might be dealing with a N def on the amnesia lemon but I don't know why. Soil ph is 7.1. I did a slurry test with Distilled water. I've been feeding but def more light than what I did last time. I guess I'll just increase feed on the amnesia lemon.

Edit: I think something is going on with the nutrient uptake. Bc i fed just a few days ago. I don't know what would prevent uptake other than ph.

They're really thirsty in the pic. I should've watered yesterday.

Through veg I tried to keep a somewhat even canopy with padded wires. But I put a net up to keep it even during the stretch. Every day I'd go out there there'd be new branches sticking up, and I couldn't keep using padded wires to pull them down. I need to get a net with smaller holes though. If I understand this correctly I'll just use the net to keep them growing laterally until the stretch is over. At that point hopefully the lower branches will have stretched up to the canopy. I know I want to defoliate really badly. It's a major pain in the ass to water. Last grow i defoliate at this point and stunted the stretch. There just wasn't much stretching last grow.

If anyone reads this and knows I'm missing something here, lemme know. I believe I understand the concept behind scrog, I just don't really have a technique down yet.

I grew that amnesia lemon on my last grow. Plant was a beast and yielded over 6 ounces with no real issues beginning to end. Smoke was great too. Good luck!
I'm getting some yellowing leaves down at the bottom. It really looks like it would be N def, but I can't figure out why. The soil ph is fine, the og kush is doing fine. I'm following the ff feeding schedule a little light. I'm wondering if maybe she just wants more N. Did you notice anything like that when you grew it?

I didn’t, but how far along are you? It’s normal towards the latter part of flower to see yellowing on lower leaves. I have some data on my EC levels, but I do hydro so it may not be applicable. Mine was a fairly heavy consumer of nutrients relative to other plants I’ve grown so it’s conceivable it’s just a greedy hungry strain.

Edit: looks like you are right at the beginning of flower. You shouldn’t see much in the way of yellow leaves. I’m not the foremost expert on weed horticulture here, but post a pic of what you are concerned about and I’ll give it a shot. Your leaves in the pic above don’t look deep dark green to me. I didn’t notice any claw so a little more nitrogen probably wouldn’t hurt.

There are 2 plants in this pic. The back one is actually the amnesia lemon about 2.5 weeks prior to harvest. The front one is a gorilla glue. Notice the yellowing on some lower leaves which is pretty normal. Yours is too early for that though.

Yeah I'm just now barely starting to flower. I'm going to feed today and see what happens. It's hard to get any pics where you can see the yellowing bc the plant is so damn bushy and the yellowing is around back and below. I'll see what kind of pics I can get when I go feed. After reading everything you wrote I really just think she's hungry. I hope so anyway bc I've been going over stuff for a couple days and that's all I can figure. Thanks for the help.

yeah I’m a relatively new grower who grows strains that were state of the art in 1990. I do have a runtz muffin going now though. I’m pretty sure that one is from the last 10 years.
That's where I started on my first grow too was strains I had smoked in the 90's. I ended up growing ww and ak47. I won this runtz punch from Herbies Seeds that I'm really excited about running next time though.

I've got a theory about the yellowing. This does not come from experience, it's coming from me just kinda feeling it out. I don't think there's any real problem going on. I think the plant knows it had too many leaves and is thining itself out. I don't know if that really happens but that's what I think is going on. Please tell me if I'm wrong. I fed yesterday. The yellowing is staying at the bottom and is not even effecting 5% of the plant. They honestly seem happy and healthy to me. In desperate need of a haircut, but hanging in there through stretch. Which doesn't seem to be stretching much.

Haven't updated in a min. I'll be defoliating this week which I'm very excited about. They're so bushy that I can't imagine any light is getting below the top. Plus it's so fucking hard to water. I'm happy when the leaves yellow and fall off bc I can finally get in there to water. I think the stretch is coming close to being done. They've stretched a good bit. I've had to raise the light 3 times and will again tonight. Maybe 5-6 inches. I'm very excited to see how differently these 2 plants develop. Already I can see the AL has much more bud sites that are smaller and spread out. The og kush has less but bigger buds forming. Strong looking buds. I'm curious to see how they differ.
