We provide the light, the air movement and the real ask is the nute mix, its all about maximising the growth in the shortest time which you are doing without breaking stride. I see no less than 6 ounces on your future lilindian

Funny you say 6, that was my target, is my target. 3oz per sq foot sounds like a lot though. I dunno whether its just me or what but the blue cheese looks to be growing pretttty slowly at the moment. A couple leaves hav again today showed very slight signs of nute burn which means the roots still aint happy. Gona let her dry out and probably give her a plain watering next time. Saying that though the Sour D isn't exactly exploding yet either. Not used to this slow growth, it concerns me.

hmmmm, when youve got those big fat colas bunching up you should be able to hit it. Don't worry about it mate, things dont start really happening until the 6/7th week, have a look at pukkas last update, dont even look like the same plants! bit of a perfectionist like our pukka arent you mate, they look absolutely fine to me lol.

Maybe ur right, although i hav over watered both this week... I duno! Pukka's plants are what made me think mine r growin slow! Look at his on day 35 of 12/12 and then check my next update. Maybe all my LSTing and pruning and what not has slowed things down a bit. Either that or ur right and im worryin bout absolutely nothin. Time will tell. never considered myself a perfectionist but i see where ur comin from.

On a different note, i'm seriously considerin building a 2 plant veg cab... Thinking same size footprint as my current cab so i can train them to fit a specific size, but only be a max 3ft tall to keep em short. Lookin at roughly 9" tall pots, 1 foot growth per plant, and just over a foot between the reflector/bulb and top of plants. 250w MH probably, gona sit and plan this out properly, see how feasable it is.

looking to go perpetual then big man ;) if you've got the space and can build another cab, then go for it mate! No reason not to really.

The training will slow them down in veg but shouldn't do in flower, unless you've been pruning them in flower. Either way, I dont think you have anything to worry about, you're killing it man. the phenotype will be a big factor in growth rate as well

haha well... I dont really have the space.... reckon i might have to stack it on top of the current cab.

Pro's: Dont have to drill more holes for air intake, i'll just draw air from the big cab into the smaller one about through an inline fan. (Already a hole in the top of the cab from old exhaust). Havn't got a plan for the exhaust of the new cab yet.

Cons: Its gona be like 6 and a half foot in the air! I'm gona need a step ladder or something just to access it. There's just over 3ft from the top of my current cab to my ceiling.

Also Ive been pruning both plants throughout flower so maybe thats why.

Just ordered some Chocolate Berry Fem Seeds, cocoa kush and blueberry? Yes please!

If you've got 3ft of space to work with you could go for some T5's, can keep them cm's from the top of the plant and they're awesome for veg.

Sounds delicious, which breeeder is it from?

Yeh that might just be a plan. Think its about time i started experimenting a bit with different equipment. Will keep heat down too in such a small space. Was thinkin about the intake/out take situation, what if i duct the air from the main cab to the veg cab ontop, and then put a duct from that veg cab back into the main cab and into the left side of the hps reflector and out, that way i can use 1rvk for all extraction.... If u get me. Reckon that would work? Lightproofin each cab might be a slight issue but i'll think of something.

Seeds from Sannies shop - breeders choice, stumbled onto them whilst looking into this cheeseberry haze

sounds like it would work, you would need to do a smell/ heat test though. if it cant pull enough air out of them both then the air will start seeping out the intake. the hot air from the HPS (the reflector heats up a lot even with a cooltube but all the heat goes upwards so you dont really notice it.) might be a tad too warm for veg. but you could always try it and if it doesnt work then just get another fan mate. you shouldnt need a filter for the veg cab.

The hot air from the reflector wont be going into my veg cabinet. It'll go a lil sumthin like this:

fresh air from outside ---> flowering cab -----> up to veg cab ----> back down and through the reflector ----> away. So basically instead of the RVK sucking air from the main cab through the reflector, it'll suck air from the veg cab, which will get its source of air from the flowering cab, and this air will go through the reflector.

I'll try and model up so you can see what ive got in mind. The shopping basket for this little project is £210 so far for lights, fans, mylar, AIRPOTS!. I want to upgrade my RVK as the ducting it'll be pulling through will be longer. Also gona use FRESH inline fans (5") to help move the air through the ducting. If i go with T5's which i probably will now, i can leave a little gap between the 2 cabinets, like 6" or so, and snake the ducting in this space to prevent light pollution between the 2 cabs. This will also be enough space to fit an inline fan in, so no space is taken up in the actual cab.

Update: Start of Week 6 Flowering

  • Slow start to the past week but things picked up again towards the end and both plants are budding quite well.

  • The yellowing fan leaves on the Sour D is confusing me, i think it's something to do with the light because its only really happening on this 1 branch and its the tallest one in the entire canopy. Anyone? The very tip of the cola is also white... With the rest of em nice and green, again no idea why but i'm lettin her ride it out. Ive tried to lean it over a little to get it down by an inch or so, but i'm not sure its helped much. On the other hand its added a nice lil touch to the pictures!

  • Both plants look strong and healthy, will feed her 1/2 strength nutes tomorrow.

  • Removed the Inline fan attached to the reflector. Its contribution didn't justify the extra power usage.

jesus christ man, those are some beuatiful looking colas! looks like you might pull a little more off the Sour D but both look great

the yellowing is normal for this time of flowering, if you have an unusual white area on your cola that looks different from all the others, you might wanna inspect that closely, it could be powdery mildew.

Sour D is definitely looking like the higher yielder. If only i had more space, they're both a bit crammed, especially the BC. I highly doubt the white area is powdery mildew, had a close look at it just now and it looks like all the rest of the tops, just white. Gave it a stroke, nothing came off, looked fine.

yea sounds like trichomes haha. powdery mildew usually starts on the leaves and creeps up towards the stems and buds if not addressed. ladies lookin beautiful man!!!

Update: Start of Week 7 Flowering

  • Both plants have put on quite a decent amount of weight this week, buds growing nicely.

  • Trimmed off some more mickey mouse buds on the bottom of both plants, they weren't even smokable, just pistils.

  • Leaves are yellowing and dropping off the plants on a daily basis, starting from the bottom. I'm taking this as a good sign.

  • Both were fed plain water with molasses a couple days ago, they're taking about 5 days to dry out at the moment, so based on that i'm gona feed with 1/2 strength next time, then 3/4 strength, and then i'll either start flushing or give them one last boost before i flush flush flush.

  • Pretty sure at this stage i'll reach my target of 6oz dry.

  • Pistils have started turning brown on both plants.

Nice job bro...But im calling BS on the dude saying he got 16oz of 400w thats 1.5g/w....Just dont see it but whatever...Yeah i'd say 7.25oz for u my friend..

Thanks, who's saying what now about 16oz off a 400W? You talking about terminal? He's claiming 20oz in total, which i don't know is possible after growing out the same strain. They're high yielding but not THAT high. And his were completely untrained. Digi's must've been off... 10oz/per plant is more bud that my whole cabinet has altogether! and they were vegged for very similar times. I reckon i could've yielded much more from these 2 plants if i had more space, by much more i mean around an oz - 2oz. Space is gona be a huge limiting factor, especially with the blue cheese and all her side branches/secondary growth, most of which havn't seen much direct light! Not in the position to have the luxury of size and stealth, gotta compromise. With rip off prices these days ive had to severely cut down my smoke over the past couple months, just cant afford it. If i were to get through this harvest at my current rate it'll last me 6months + which is more than enough, so anything over 6oz will be the icing on the cake.

7.25, do we have a 7.5oz?
