Day 8 of Mango:
the two smallest plants seem to have a tiny bit of nute burn on the leaves becuase of the miracle grow potting soil i believe
One is doing really well though and moved to a bigger pot

Day 3 of Purps:
The two purps plants under the lights have there first two round temporary leaves and just got there two real rigged leaves
One seed is still in the soil sprouting and should be up in a day or so.

I will have new pictures up tomorrow or the next day.
Thanks guys!!!

Well ya i know. its my fault but i think i might buy a bag of the most organic natural soil at my local hardware store or at homedepot. i just had a whole bag of Miracle Grow left.

Hmmm..not sure...

I made my own mix for the first few weeks. I worked, but it wasn't the best. I haven't been to Home Depot in a couple weeks so I'm not sure what all they have. Maybe someone else can chime in here on that. Or look around the site, people talk about that shit all the time.

What kind of MG soil exactly is it?

I used a mixture of Scott's potting soil, MG sphagnum peat moss, and MG perlite.

You got pictures of the problem? The nute burn that is...

Day 11 Mango:
All my mangos look good.
Two of them have some pretty bad nute burn but that will be fixed when i get new soil hopefully.
One of the mangos is doing extemely well and getting big fast! and no nute burn at all!

Day 6 Purps:
The two purps have been sprouted and looking good with about 4 leafs on them

i will update later tonight and have pictures. CHECK BACK!!!!!!!!
One has not sprouted.

It looks like your lights are really far away. With floros you can get within 2 inches, easy... also you mentioned that you got bright white and soft white, but these are warm bulbs, less inducive to vegetative growth. The cool light (which is ironically often labeled 'sunlight' has more blue and induces more vegetative growth. If you get stretch, lower the lights. I may not know what I'm talking about. But in my experience with seedlings the cool lights (sunlight) seem to cause less stretch and more veg, and you can put the lights at least as close as 2". Somebody help if I'm talking jive turkey.

Day 12 Mango:

First two pictures are of Plant#1 in a 2liter bottle bottom wtaped in duct tabe so light doesnt get to the roots, a bit of nute burn but not sure if you can see it

Picture two is Plant #2 and you might be able to see the nute burn on the leave right there but maybe not.

Picture three is of course Plant #3 and seems to be my best and strongest plany so far with no nute burn at all.

Day 7 of Purps:

Okay so one seed never sprouted and i went looking for it and broke the little root off the main seed part so its not going to grow. It sucks but was a bad sead anyways.

First and second picture are almost the same and are just of the purps plants with there first 4 real leafs starting to form. Hope they blow up soon.

Hey man thanks for checking it out and all my lights are within 2 inches of the plants i just had to take off the lid of the rubbermaid to show you and take a picture.

I got three of the bright white bulbs and and one soft white. i know soft white is better for flowering but is Sunlight or Bright White better?

very nice how may watts per light?
Hey man sorry, but ah ya i got 56 Watts in there now but i need a lot more and i know that.

i am thinking 2 daylight cfls the 14watters on the far right and left and then two daylight cfls but the 23 watt ones. add a lot more light and penetration.

What ya think?
