They are nowhere near hlg lmao. 1500watt light pulling 200 Watts these are the sort of things that give leds a bad name. Real full spectrum isn’t purple.
Have you seen the Vander lights? They call them (1500W) because they use 150 chips rated at 10W Leds , but run them about 1.5 watts each to get the 220-250 wall watts claimed. That keeps the temperature down and makes the lights more reliable due to lower heat. Vander is the only burpel maker that lists their lumen output specs that I found in my research. They use red-blue-and White chips so they look burple-ish but in the room they seem pretty "White". My cheap Foot Candle Meter says their specs are very close to reality.

The reason for pushing the deceptive nomenclature is to mislead the public, so you have to read the specs. Most of the King-Viper-Ect LEDs don't publish the specs, so I don't buy them.

I've been running my Vander 1500 for about two months now and it is doing it share. It will only cover about 2.5-3 X 2.5-3 ft in flower but that's all you need for a two plant LST Scrog. I wish I had seen this offer a month ago I'd have snapped it up in an instant. I've got a Vander "1000" ( 140 Wall watts) coming tomorrow cost less than $60. Try that for a HLG 135 Watter.

I bought, I saw, and I bought again.

OP?
Where are you going to grow them? Closet Classic or will you buy a tent?

Most dope grows 3-4 ft tall inside but that can be controlled by training. You can be a Harsh Mistress and keep them servile and bushy or let them grow up tall and wild.
They are kind of like children. :hump:

You bought a qb?

I got one of these and it is great. Goes about 220 watts from the wall and low temperature rise, as LED's do. I'd buy the extra one from you for $50 if you don't need two. A pair of these normally is ~$170!

I've run HPS and T5 florescent before and these Vander lights are well made and quiet(fans) excellence Lumens per watt and perfect for a 3X3, or two plants.[/QUOTE]

Very interesting,. Lots more to learn i guess. I thought the lights would be the easy part lol. Ty

Well I mean if your gonna use T5s you might as well use screw in LEDs. Cfl is bad for enviorment and they suck dont use those. Dont buy any "blurple" light off of amazon they are all scams. There are DIY Led kits that are sold you wire them together thats the way to go they are powerful while stilll energy efficient. Google LED gardner•com and check out their f strips build.
Thank you for being so helpful :leaf:

Lights are key to yield, but there are a few things to consider first, how much space, training/watering time, and for us poor folk, $$$$ can you give the plants?
If you just want to see how they grow and don't want to have too much invested. You may not get much yield, but a lot of fun can be had.
Seedlings don't need a lot of high intensity light for the first 2-3 weeks and you can get by with a not too shaded window sill at first but then they will want/need more intense light. This will give you time to separate the seedlings and get some good soil.
I'm using areoponics on my main grow but have an excess seedlings tub I'm trying to bloom some seedlings now only a month old. It uses a couple of rubber maid tubs, a 50 watt LED panel, and a 80 mm computer fan. I murdered all the males (4 so far) and am going to try blooming the six females under the 50 watts in 16 oz party cups in my tub.

A good grow will yield about 1gram per watt of light, they say, so we shall see? An oz of bud in the dispensaries is about $250-$400! If I get a oz out of it I'll be happy. All tolled it cost me about $50 for the parts.

Hopefully your seeds aren't from a Haze family. That shit can take 15 weeks in flower to finish! Ask me how I know?

A ~$6 rubbermaid 12 gal tub is fine for two plants (~17"x27") in a small grow as you can get two 1-3 gal pots in it and it can keep all the water in, 'cause leaks are a bitch. Just space the pots about 1-2" above the bottom so they don't set in drain off water. Don't over water! Rooky error #1!

Growing can be very instructive and a lot of fun can be had on an Oz.
