I do not agree with the what shorlineog said aabout brining the light cycle form 16 hours to 18 hours. I run 18/6 from the get go. I feel that you do get a little more stretch and I kind of like that when I want some monsters. I'm growing sog now and I think I will run 20/4. I do agree with shoreline OG that N should be cut back in flower and that N will delay flowering time. Just my two cents

I don't flower with them I just keep mothers with t5s. that's 10 moms from clines in not that long of a time frame, 24/7 t5 light. toped 1 time

Stumbled on this some how on google fukin entertaining read at first... but god dam But buy page 7 I got burnt.out ... Not nuthin new.... The whole 18\6 ,20/4, 24/0 argument been beat in the heads forever now.... The truth is it doesn't matter... Certain strains get tired and will preflower regardless after they hit maturity... Even under 24hrs... These u just keep in rotation continually starting new moms ... And certain strains are fine for ever... And then there's the one that are sensitive just a pain to keep happy... Most of the time these are the ones that are not replaceable easily if at all... As far as speed goes its minimal differences...but certain things can change that... 24/0 hot humid high co2 will grow monsters in a month
...Moms are under 24/0 ... but consider u save hella $$$$ running veg 18/6 if your veg ... on larger grows every shekel counts...
All I'm gonna say there is alot of things u can do for ur veg to speed up growth that are much more effective than ya light times

I was reading through these old posts and I thought I'd clarify the statement (That's only a small part of Alaska in the department north and parts of Canada that have light 24/7.)
Wrong! I live in Alaska @ 62 degrees N attitude, which is considered South Central Alaska. Although the sun sets in the summer months here, it does not get dark from the end of May till the beginning of August. It's not bright sunshine after the sun sets but it's bright enough to drive without headlights.
