The main reason for not continuing with the copperhead light is because I am a first timer and as such do not need the head ache of two different kinds of lights as another variable. In other words, I pussed out on the copperheads and comparing them.

Plants need a recovery period, 18/6 is a good schedule.

Switched the lighting to 24/0 because I have been reading up on this forum and decided that it makes perfect sense that a plant that is designed by nature to automatically flower due to the high latitudes it originated from and the effect of 24 hour light at those latitudes during the life cycle may as well work in a tent. Yeah.

Well your plants also need a little "break" from the light. Everything I have read seems to indicate 18/6 is best for vegetative stage.

And also nowhere in the world does marijuana receive 24hrs of natural continues light.

This is your first grow? With so many differing opinions on here it's difficult to decide who to listen to. However Uprangewilly gave you good information as did I. Your plants will survive with a 24/0 light cycle but they won't do their best.

Appreciate your time and information. Was referring to the rudiallis part of the gene. It's my first time and will for sure take advice. Will be switching back to 18/6. Thanks. And yes there are definitely more opinions on how to skin this cat. Basically trying to adjust to one or a hybrid of several that works with this set up.

Ruderalis genetics just means they flower when they are sexually mature. Photoperiod won't flower until sexually mature and given a light signal but they thrive under similar cultivation methods. Good luck, and enjoy your grow.

They're looking good, man. Just let them roll. The autos are supposed to be runty little things, but they'll put out some bud for sure. Also, you can do whatever light schedule you want. I run my plants 24/0 and they have no problem with it. Some people think they need a "rest" period, but I don't think that's ever been scientifically proven. We desperately need to have the US declassify cannabis as a schedule 1 drug so we can get some good, peer-reviewed research going and stop all this anecdotal nonsense.
