Always more arrests from legal weed too.

Michigan has almost twice the weed arrests on average since medical was passed. I don’t remember the numbers right now.
You guys getting crazy amounts of dui/dwi from people that arent even high? the test they administer here is super inaccurate it will show a positive result if you smoked even a day prior...pretty lame.

No I’m not even including the new high driving test. I hear that has started here too though.

Just good old cops busting people for possessing evil plants and dangerous bags of flowers.

But a lot more than the old days.

A proposed initiated law to authorize and legalize possession, use and cultivation of marijuana products by individuals who are at least 21 years of age and older, and commercial sales of marijuana through state-licensed retailers

This proposal would:

  • Allow individuals 21 and older to purchase, possess and use marijuana and marijuana-infused edibles, and grow up to 12 marijuana plants for personal consumption.
  • Impose a 10-ounce limit for marijuana kept at residences and require amounts over 2.5 ounces to be secured in locked containers.
  • Create a state licensing system for marijuana businesses and allow municipalities to ban or restrict them.
  • Permit retail sales of marijuana and edibles subject to a 10% excise tax, dedicated to implementation costs, clinical trials, schools, roads, and municipalities where marijuana businesses are located.
  • Change several current violations from crimes to civil infractions.
Should this proposal be adopted?

[ ] NO

This is the proposal, if I read the story right.

I have seen that. There are a few proposals around. Maybe someone who follows more closely can chime in with an update.

$89 an ounce. I saw a sign a little ways down the road advertising $79 ounces but didn't get a picture.

Online menu at another dispensery:

Alien Bubba 18.4% $75 28 grams
Yep, nothing new here in Colorado. A lot of dispensaries have been advertising $30 ounce specials for about a year now... I'll have to post a few pictures of the back 2/3 of the Westword magazine (all dispensary and adult escorr adds....) That cheap dispensary weed is pretty much "mid-grade shwag" though.. I'm a total nube, and my nug is already 1000× better quality...

Here is what a $30 oz looked like a friend of mine got. All the buds were about this size. Definitely not a bunch of shake. I can grow better but for the smoker that doesn't grow it's a pretty good deal.

So small indoor growers are losing money?
I personally don't know any small indoor growers that are trying to make money. Many of us do it as a hobby and for personal use only.

I'm glad that legalization has enabled people to buy legally and not meet in some parking lot to score an eighth. But I'd rather grow it myself. I see know reason to buy from small indoor grower. If I was to buy I would go to the dispensary and choose from 30+ varieties.

It's legal to accept compensation from your patient. A reasonable amount. But if you are going to lose money taking care of a patient or end up with more weed than you can legally have in your possession because they go to a dispensary instead, it will become a problem. I like quiet talks with cops where I just part ways and never talk to them again better than the whole arrest thing.
