I'm not sure I agree, with making cannabis that accessible. It needs to be expensive. It is a drug after all.
I can just see 12yr old kids, getting their older siblings to buy a $2 stick. Instead of a 6pack of alcohol for their friends party.

Imho. Government should be more responsible.
They should impose mandatory prices, for pot. Expensive, and less accessible. But legal in every way.

No but I've smoked my own which is better than anything I've ever seen come from a dispensary including the top shelf stuff still going for $15 a gram. You still wouldn't be able to sell your stuff for the $250 -$300 you want. It would cost you thousands in licensing and years to get licensed due to the moratorium on licensing. The black market is basically gone. Head on out here to Portland and give it a go if you think you can make a go at it. I wish you the best.

I agree about the pricing. I paid more than twice what I get now that I am a grower. Weed used to be quite valuable even to re-sell as we all know.

However,

The black market is never gone. Quality and reliability has always kept things going strong.

Greed is the killer of business. Have to go with the times.

black market isn't gone it's just not black anymore in legal states , i'd call it the grey market since there's so many loopholes like selling a small token for 20$ than giving free weed for the purchase. Several unlicensed dispensaries do it that way or they may offer a membership fee for entry then you must say "donation" instead of buy or sell.

Here's an example of a grey area unlicensed dispensary they call themselves a "dab bar"

All the dispensaries in Michigan operated in the grey market up til now. It’s still a store. It is still in the public view. I stood in line for buds. I was not a patient of the dispensary caregiver. That is not in regulations.

I am old school. I am talking about the black market. It still exists in Colorado too. I don’t need a store or club to unload flowers. I could go back tomorrow and pick up where I left off. Just would Grow my own flowers now.

Of course I never mail anything there now as that is highly illegal. ;-)

Luckly i dont grow as a job but my 4x4 produces mutch more than i can smoke myself. 15 a gram thats over 400 an oz

I should clarify that I meant the black market for locally sold product in Oregon is basically gone. The black market still exists but the majority of that market is Oregon produced weed transported out of state. That market is still going as it has for decades. I don't think anyone is going to move to Oregon, grow weed, and sell it locally for $250 - $300 an ounce. People were not even paying that before it was legal and that was for high grade indoor product. Weed has been cheap in Oregon for years.

I heard of a place selling for $35 an ounce just outside of Portland. Probably not top grade but many people don't care. I'm wondering what's going to happen with the prices once the outdoor crop comes in. There is already a million pounds of pot in inventory in the state according to official numbers and that's just what they know about. Then add in the tens of thousands of people growing their own legally and the number keeps going up.

There's a place in pueblo that's selling 1$ grams, ounces for 28$ plus tax, it's crazy , bet they just grow it in a field zero quality control sprayed with god knows what.
