:-P:-P:-P:-P:-P:-P:-PI just found out today that I am the mom of 2 beautiful ladies. I found some pistils this morning when I woke up! Happy New Year to me!!!

I have 2 ladies under about 250 watts of cfl. They are GOOD Bag seed...stinkin up the room. They are 7 and 8 weeks from seed. I will be flowering within the next couple of days. I have quite a bit more light to add also.

This is a true testament that you can have beautiful grows with the CFLs. I just wanted to share my excitement. Can't believe they both turned out to be females!!!

I will keep updated with flowering if anyone wants to follow-up.:leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:
Nice Start indeed! I will be following your progress, those look FABULOUS. Similar to my CFL grow i just started. My Grow Journal link in Sig. check out my progress so far.

The ladies are only 15-16" in height but they are about 22" in diameter. Freakin wider than they are taller...THANKS to CFL. I kept those lights right ontop of those babies since day one.

Those are mylar emergency blankets btw. I found 'em on ebay for like 1.50/ea. and they are 54"x82". I wish they weren't as wrinkly but I think they worked fabulously. Always about saving a buck!!!

Do you have a grow journal? I would love to take a look
no journal but heres pics, mind my suck ass camera, no pistil porn because it blurrs up close... the small one in the lower left is a clone and she actually has some really big calyxes on her. the one in the lower right is an indica dominant and was veged 36 days she gonna be the big yielder, the 2 at the top were veged 20 days, they have pistils lightly spread on the top colas but they will fatten up greatly over the coming weeks. these pics are 14 days flower using , MG Soil with Ferts(yellow/green bag), also those are light burns, not nute burns, from having the cfls so close, the benifit of having the light that close farly outweighs a little light burn.

BTW, Nice ladies Yellerz, i saw the pics. the dark green one in pic #1 had great branching, would have made a nice bagseed mother, but you maybe wait to get some good genetics befor cloning???

yo Yellerz! great job on a potential bud bomb there
goes to show you what u can get out of flouros with the proper set ups

it looks like your using 5 gallon buckets there am I right? if so thats part of the reason your plant is darn big, i had the luxury of space one time and used 5 gallon buckets. the results were astonishing the plants almost quadrupled in size when they were switched to flowering. funny thing is they looked alot like yours and were also from excellent bagseeds
the smoke was excellent too better than most of the expensive weed that actually had names for the strains (wiether or not they were real)
ive got a small flouro bagseed operation going right now and theyre on the 4'th full internode about 3 weeks into veg i even mixed up different kinds of bags to make it more interesting(and im hoping my 600w hps gets a new ballast soon for flowereing since they may try to get different heights on me)
ill hafta try to get some pics soon
but seeing yours is extremely inspiring
kudos big time my friend

I am using 5 gal. buckets. They were in 3 gal. but cuz I am a noob, I was very paranoid about them getting rootbound, so I supersized them. It is gonna be very tough flowering these beasts til their full potential...can't even imagine them tripling or quadrupling. That is gonna be a trip...lol.

They are def. GOOD bag seed. I know exactly where they came from. It will supply fabulous results. "Big Money" weeds. I still can't believe I found them damn things. This shit is DANK!!!

Would love to see some pics Smellzlikeskunkyum!!

SO, I took a couple of clones off the big girls and I put them into flower for about 5 days so that I could sex them, but then the big girls showed me some pistils so I put the clones back in veg. Would that be ok to use one of the clones as the "mother" or will that screw them all up? Now I am a little weary about taking anymore cuttings of the girls cuz they have already shown preflowers. I HAVE 2 keep this strain going!!!

You can use a cutting as a mother no problem. Just be sure it's rooted before you flower the current mom!:leaf::leaf::leaf:
actually there is a sticky on taking flowering clones because of their AMAZING!!! Branching(more bud, dense bud). they are usually taken on day 21 of flower and then reveged. also the branching makes them very good mothers with lots of shoots to take clones from. If you can find it, its very informative. the only difference was that i heard clones may take slightly longer to root but thats because the clone has to forget about flowering in which it focuses on flower growth and get back on track with veg in where its focus is on leaf and root growth. but the the results are stuning, theres branches just randomly shooting from any open spot on the main stem ITS CRAZY!!!

If you look in my current grow journal there are three clones which were taken two weeks into flowering. They rooted and then went really weird for a while, throwing out single-blade giant leaves, and lots of short soft branches. They were like that for 60 days and then suddenly started putting out normal growth. They are VERY branchy. I didn't know that was a result of the late cutting.

The clones that I cut off are looking great. I just transplanted them into larger pots. I will post pics 2mrrow of the babies. The thing is... whatever strain I have, It is SUPER branchy. I even tried to stretch it a little so that there was some "bud" space. Didn't work. They are just bushy bitches. I don't ever have to worry about lack of bud sites.

I notice, too that I have a Nitrogen deficiency but I just put them on 12/12 tonite. Should I keep up with the regular nutes for a little bit before switching to FF Bloom???

You can use grow big during early veg. I suggest 1/2 tsp per gallon.

I would start adding big bloom now. The first time you feed your plants with it, you should use 1/2 CUP per gallon.

Nice going Yellerz!! There's a post on here or ICMAG, can't remember, but this guy veged with CFL's, LED UFO, and a MH. Same strain, soil, ferts, container size, etc. and the CFL out-did the other 2 lights. It was amazing to see, even he was shocked!!

Wait until the 2nd week of flower to add those nutes! Let your girls get some more N, then switch.

Like Shnkrmn said, make sure your clones root before flowering the "mother", otherwise you'll have to wait longer if you take clones late into flowering. Remember, when you take clones, they're the same age as the mother. If she's in flower, they will have to reveg and you could be looking at 4 to 8 weeks depending on the strain, before you get a plant that will flower really good again.

The 3 gallon containers were perfect, unless you want what you currently have........mad fuckin' bush! No pun intended!! From your discription and pics, they would be perfect for Scroging. If your plants tread on each other, you'll want to tuck fan leaves off of budsites being covered. You can even cut half of the fan leaf off, if it's covering budsites, then remove the rest a week later. You have enough big fat fan leaves, so photosynthesis won't be a problem. Keep an eye out on the bottom of your plants too. Come 3 to 4 weeks into flower, trim some branches off the main stem b/c they won't get sufficient light penetration and will be a waste of energy on popcorn buds by your girls. This in turn will allow them to focus that popcorn energy strictly on the budsites that are getting light, which means more fatter and denser nugs up top.

Nice to see a woman on here representing!!

Thank u so much Flo Grow! I'll shoot ya some rep for all the great support!

The babies are fully rooted. It actually took less than a week to get roots. They are looking fabulous! The picture made one look a little stretched, but its actually not that bad.

Well, the ladies spent their first nite in the dark! I am so stoked!! My setup turned out to be great except I am having a bulb issue. My CFLs keep dying on me. Not sure why, but I lost 3 this week. So much for 10,000 hours of life, eh?:wall:

I will be sure to keep up with the N. and get started on the bloom juice soon! Guys, be sure to keep in contact, I'm sure I'll have a million more issues to work out! Thanks again guys!!!

Say Yellerz, I didn't realize you had that much room for those ladies. You'll be fine! I like the 4 CFL's hangin' down in the middle for the lower branches. Just be sure to turn your ladies on the regular so all 4 sides can get those 4 CFL's to shine upon them. Also, if you bend and tie down a little from the top/center you can get more light into the middle.

They're looking so healthy and beautiful!! Wonderful job!!

Say, I was tryin' to throw out some rep. but I can't seem to figure out how to do it since they changed the site. The little scale is not up top anymore? Anyone gotta clue?

I am rotating once during light cycle. Would like to get some more in there but I think I am gonna just try this setup for a little bit. Thanks again! I have pretty much made this a part-time job between research, shopping, and brainstorming for the future!

It's a bug in the new skin. You can go back to the old one by going to My Rollitup>Edit Options>Forum Skin. Select blzin-07 from the pull down menu. Save change and you'll be back to the old look and your scales will be there.:leaf::leaf::leaf:
