1st time white widow grower

cool man, she looks like she was a big gurl. I was so impressed on the size that my geno reached. She was a nirvana seed growin in a little Aerogarden witch has a 1 gallon res and she is between 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 feet tall! the buds on it are absolutely amezing and i juss cant wait untill she is done rippenin and im watin at least 2 more weeks until i have some amber trichs. This is my 1st grow and i really dont know how much it will yield but if u asked me id say at least 1.5 oz dried. And next to her i have a bag seed thats just one single donky dick that should be at least another 1.5 oz.

yea i wish i had a better camera thast why i dont have any more pics. the last pics i posted show about the size that she is now but because the shitty resolution on the camera i havent bothered to take any bud pics. But i checked my trichs yesterday and they are mostly clear still with some cloudy so im guessin to more weeks and even lookin at the desity of the buds she dosent look ready. You have to remember this is my 1st grow so she took a little stress wen she was younger and was only vegged for about 2 weeks. she in on her 7th or 8th week flowering dependin on wen u start to count the flowering time. if u look back in my threat u can see u put them on 12/12 on 8/2 but at a very young age; so im givin them 1 or 2 more weeks untill they actually started flowering witch take me to my next post on 8/17 where i stated they where gettin white hairs, so if u do the math ( not possibly exact of course) she would be in her 7th or 8th week flowerin and since the top colas dont even look fully ripped yet im guessin at least 2 more weeks. But then, the bottom and lower branches seem to be maturing much faster so i may harvest them before that even tho i doubt it.

what do your trichs look like right now?

they are mostly clear with a few cloudy.
And like i was mentioning the density, i have a road runner that has just a week left and compering them 2 ( even tho they are different strains) i can tell the buds on the white widow arent fully ripped.

I was just wondering why its taking so long.....I read your whole thread, I must've missed it tho, how much light are you putting out?

i think the post on 8/2 is on page 3 and the post on 8/17 is on page 4. I think the reason why they are takin so long is because they where only vegged for 2 weeks, grown in an aerogarden, and prolly suffered some stress in the early days.

oh and by the way, they are under a 400w MH with a hortilux 400w hps conversion bulb witch only puts out 360w in HPS but fuck it whats 40w lol
at least this way i can run my system both ways and if i ever want a perpetual grow i can use CFLS witch i been very successful with and make plants really bushy if u veg with them.

yeah me too.. thats why I came across this thread

the two skinny ones at the front are less developed because they have been under 12/12 from seed. The rest of them were vegged for around 2 weeks with heavy LST before flowering.. check out the lst pics in my grow journal in my sig. The whole lot is in week 6 now

flowering under 250w MH and a 50w cfl.. sunlight on good days, only AN's big bud for nutes.

Its my first grow and its just for some personal stash hence the small plants and lack of a proper feeding schedule but I'm happy with how they've gone so smoothly.. probably harvest in another 3 weeks or so.

that last pic of the bud looked like she is right at 6 weeks compared to what mine looked like then. Unfortunately i dont have a camera like urs and my pics have very poor resolution and u wont be able to notice the difference. But she is gettin closer to bein ready, i believe her to be on her 8th week and hopin she'll be ready after 9. Its wierd how my top and bigger colas are less mature than my middle and lower ones; i think it might have been because i had my HPS fearly close to those tops cuz they got to almost 5ft tall and i coudlnt raise the hood any higher so it might have kept that higher area of the grow at a higher temp there for slowin down the process... thats sounds like a good hypothesis wont u say? lol. Id like to c ur buds wen ur done to compare what those MH buds look like compared to my hps because i had to buy an hps bulb for an mh ballast n would liek to knwo if i coulda saved the 100 the bulb cost me. how many plants u have under that 250?
On a different note, what immost escited bout right now is my roadrunner autoflowering that i got from attitude seeds that will be gettin chopped saturday, if i can keep myself from chopin her tonite or tomorrow lol.

p.s: the things u guys would c if i had a better camera...

ok so my ww went 12/12 on 8/02 but because she was so young im takin off 2 weeks cuz im sure it took her that long before she started flowerin so i sayin the 15th and if u do the math that would give her 8 weeks flowerin on saturday so im hopin she'll be ready maybe friday after next on the 17th or the 24th worst casenario. hopefully she'll be ready on the 17th so i can hang dry for a week n get at least a week of curing b4 halloween =)

but c this is why u can find people that will say white widow can take up to 12 weeks because they start countin flowerin as soon as u go 12/12. if u dont have one already id recommed at least 60x microscope, i got the perfect one at radiodhak for $15 that is a 60x and 100x with a light on it and all so it works great.

right about now is wen i really wish i had a better camera. i took down my roadrunner saturday and she is been hangin since. i ran out of my smoke sunday and nobody seem to have it so this mornin i smoked a bowl of it after she had been hangin since saturday and she was drie enough to smoke and even tho it was still a bit harsh i could taste a great taste that i know will be dominant once is finished dryin and curin and the one bowl got me lifted!.
I also wish u guy could take a look at the WW but the most imprecive at this point id have to say is my mistery strain that i left single cola cominant and has a main cola as big as my forearm and since its a mistery strain i named it Carolina Donky Dick so u guys be lookin for it in the future lol

Jerk was that u that i seen on another thread about how to get plants to finish faster? i was readin about changin my clock bak to 11/13 to try to get my buds to finish maturing by the 24th witch will be in like a week and a half since they look almost done juss watin on the trichs to go mostly cloudy and some amber. Did u try this? if anybody has let me know, i know it could decrease ur yield but honestly my gurl is so packed with bud that loosin a few grams wouldnt make a diference to me if it ment meeting my expected time of 10 weeks cuz id really hate to go 11 cuz then the WW wouldnt be smokeable for halloween!
As of the roadrunner i harvested saturday, she is dryin up nicely in my tiny bathroom closet with a tiny fan blowin on it. The sample i took after 3 days hangin was smokeable and pretty taste for only been hangin for that long.
After the WW is done i have one more plant in flower, an Afghan kush x skunk that should be ready around the middle of november and that will conclude my growin season for this year untill i move to a new house at the bigginin of december.

you could do that 11/13 or even 10/14 if you really wanted too but I'm not sure if it makes them finish faster....

Im growing for the first time indoors too..with shop light fluros, t12, 58w each bulb....Im running fo vegg 5 bulbs, and a 2700k 26 cfl....I have vegged it for over a month, and i think a good 3 month flowering is waiting for me, about couple days away...


Anyway, thats my widow grow, like yours, but with different lighting....
Can we see some pics too...Im so exited lol....And so blazed...

unfortunately i dotn have a camera to take any worthy pics, itll only give u an idea of the size. I think ur gettin confused wit my 1st grow that ended up being 2 male plants off some bag seeds and prolly remember i was startin this one. I only vegged for like 2 weeks cuz of my small Aerogarden but i blasted a 400w hps fro flowering so my plant is huge! but if ur ww is from nirvana id say go ahead and flower her ASAP cuz she will more than triple in size wen she is flowering. And if i was you ud put my calendar for 11 weeks and hope u finish in 10. im on my 9th week and mine looks to have AT LEAST one more week left if not more.
volcom, reducing the lights to 11/13 will deff help u flower faster because the plant will have more dark period to mature but less energy to put on weight so if u do it to early it might reduce ur yield.

the plant stores the energy during the day so it still has energy to grow at night, which I'm sure you already knew but if you want to go less than 12/12...I recommend reducing weekly at first then bi weekly or more..... 18/6 to 17/7 to 16/8 and so on over an extended period of time. then just keep going with it even beyond 12/12 to replicate the real deal in season change. some claim that is the way to go if you want to take the time. I just wouldnt wanna be adjusting timers all the time.
