ight thanks to everybody that stopped by. but F*%# you for not replying to my post! lol jk maybe this will excite yall a lil bit; My AG has given birth! one of the WW babys is 2 days old and the other one still has her bio dome over head because she hasent made it completely out of the AG and it seems like she is wearin a helmet lol (The seed hasent fully cracked or something but its startin to grow and push its self out but i hurd they keep the shells for protection sometimes). I also planted 3 bag seeds and 2 of them have germinated and are showing a tail 2.

Hi. I'm on my home stretch of my first grow ever of white widows. What I found was that they really enjoyed my fish emulsion fertilizer, did great on the 24-hour vegging cycle, and that I made a big mistake by leaving them in vegetative mode for too long.

My mistake:
What i did was leave it on the 24-hours vegging mode for exactly 48 days. Oh, biiig mistake. I should have let them grow for a month, and then switched to flowering.

Now, I have 6 1/2 foot plants in my closet that I'm trying to tie back with yarn. I guess I wasn't aware HOW much they'd keep growing as soon as I switched to 12/12. Uggh.

So, take it from my mistake with this strain: Veg it for a month or until it's like 2 feet tall. Then, switch it unless you want plants so huge that you can't figure out what to do with them.

lol

thanks everybody for ur replys this time lol. decolem what is ur grow medium? im growin in an AG witch is supposed to grow plants faster than soil anyways so thansk for letting me know about the whole veg period, i dunno if ill veg for just a month as much as i would like that to make it short but ill prolly veg untill is maybe 1 and a 1/2ft because even tho i have a AG pro 200 it only goes up 2ft so ill make sure to top and do some good LST and make the plant 2ft wide lol.

Remember how i had told ya about the one WW baby that still had not showed her head and it seamed like she still wasent out of the shell completely? well she has showed her head now but it scared the shit out of last nite for a sec, It looked like it was deformed!! lol. It just had one green grow with a weird thing on top of it witch this mornin i relized it was lookin better and the one green grow was startin to split, so im sure it will open up and shed the rest of the shell off. But somethang that worries me is how the steam seams to be wrapped around my grow sponge... im postin a pic right now, let me know if anyone has seen this before and what i should do...

and thats a feminized White widow seed from nirvana lol.
is it that i planted it wrong? i read somewhere about a tap root? is that the side of the seed that looks like a little brown eye? lol. or is that the pointy side of the seed? lol. i planted them with the little "brown eye" facin down and the pointy side facin up, or atleast i tried... i dunno if this has anything to do with what i got goin on here...

seed straight into the soil, no pre-germination. same as how i did it, and i just threw them in without a damn as to orientation, all are growing peachy.

am i correct in thinking that nirvana has iffy genetics and such? could swear i saw some negative threads around recently

yea i knwo the tap root has to be facin down. my question is: what side is the tap root? is it the side that looks like it has a little brown eye or little plug? or is it the pointy side of the seed where it looks like the shells come together?

ok i think i found the answer to my question and i feel like a jack ass. but hey we all grow n we lern, and i mean literally grow n we lern lol. your supposed to plant wit the the pointy side pointing down and that fat round side with the brown sircle facin up because the pointy side is where it will crack and the root will start growing down. So i think what happened is that it grew upside down and it found its way around the grow sponge finally but thats why its wrapped around the sponge.... do yall think itll survive to grow to a mature plant? should i try to untangle it? i still have 3 out of 5 feminized WW seeds from nirvana so i guess loosing one to a trial run wouldnt be to much of a loss... and by the way tip top, we are talkin growin hydro here, the 2 soil plants i have i did the same as you, stuck some bag seeds in a pot, a week later BAAM!! 3 nice little seedlings where well on their way to become almost 1 month old plants now... they where topped last night and will be vegin for AT LEAST another 3 weeks...

alright so last nite i moved my AG to my closet and put it under 18/6 with my older gurls. the AG babys are still growing seedlings so i hope the 18/6 wont retard them to much. but i juss had to get the AG out of my kitchen lol. i hope to soon make another grow area so i can have both a veg room and a flowring room as i think im only gonna veg my soil gurls for the end of this and another week and that should put them right in between 4-6 weeks and will go under 12/12 then for another 8 im guessin, hope it dont take longer than that.
ill post some pics of them soon even if its with my shitty camera phone, they have gotten big and are lookin nice and bushie after i topped one and fimed the other one. the one i fimed is prolly close to a foot wide! and their both about a foot tall...
