I just started construction on a outdoor grow box. 4' length, 4' width, 6' height. Using 2x3" lumber for the frame and 5/8" plywood for the walls. The wood and basic materials cost about $75 at home depot. As of right now I am uncertain about what I am going to use to grow (soil/hydro, lights, # of plants, venting, insulation etc...) My prime concern is temperature and fire prevention. I live in Southern California and it gets hot during the day. I want to make sure I can maintain a suitable environment inside the box on days when the temp is in the 80's and 90's. Any advice would be much appreciated. I'm on a pretty tight budget so I'm definitely looking to get the most bang for my buck. I'll post pics once I finish the basic construction.
