( 1st auto run ) SUPER SKUNK , NYC DIESEL, CASH CROP.

I've grown several in 3g pots, I think the 2's are better, it saves you some space, meaning you can get more under your light coverage, from my experience plants won't "use" 3gs of dirt in such a life span. I've been running 12/12 from seed to finish here lately and the 2's seem like the ideal size. I'm going by the size of the rootball after I cut the plant and pull it out. If it was plants that were gonna be staying in the pots longer than 3ish months or so, I'd say 3 would be better. But I say all this with me using Pro-mix HP, with a little super soil in the bottom 1/3 or so.

That sounds like experience to me and experience knows best. Ill be gettin 2 gallon fabric pots for the next auto run

Did more training today. Its really paying off. Im gonna go ahead and say that breaking a branch off the super skunk auto had no really horrible effects. She was extremely stressed for a few hours after. Noticeably droopy and not happy looking but she perked up overnight and picked up where she left off just fine. Ive retied the tops down as far as i could and ive added monster cropping to my training regiment . This is my first time with autos and i want to see just how far i can push them without completely stressing and stunting then out.

Right here is something I've been looking for, just to have someone say something with asking. I think it give a little more backbone to it especially when that's the conclusion my current run of testing shows. Except that I've been working on over watering in fabric bags. The plants can't use the much. I would like to add this in as a quote when I post the results.

That's good, and whatever you're doing looks like it's working. This is a really good preview of my plans. It's kind of exciting to see what I really expect to get this next grow.

to u all! Rumor has it that a little bit of training goes a long way look at all those bud sites! i must say, its very nice to see trichs this early on in flower. It speaks volumes about its potency. Excited to see the turn out of this nyc auto (directly above and below)

Everything is thriving. No big deficiencies, no nute burn. Only one mishap (broken branch) and that turned out to be fine. No stunting or slowed growth
the cash crop (below) will be the last ro finish transitioning and probably the last to get chopped. Fine by me as long she rewards my patience lol

Thanks opie! Im so suprised. I've heard about how finicky autos can be so i almost expected to run into some complications but surprisingly i had none so far. Just a very minor N deficiency. I didnt know how this would turn out but I'm developing a genuine appreciation for autos and i think I'll always have a few in the garden. They're fast n fun

Who says ya cant top autos!? . This was an accident but it happened nonetheless and here's a pic from a few days ago. Those 2 tops are even with the rest of the canopy

The photoperiod plants are doing well and have recovered from their first topping




2 of the 3 autoflowers are bushing out and transitioning into flower nicely. The nyc diesel is in fullflower and isnt really stretching much at all. The LST was a success as u can see. For the past week I've also been supercropping branches to spread them out a bit. Ill be supercropping again today because they all turn upwards after a few hours so ive been keeping up on it with good results

I can already tell ya you made the best decision when you decided to Lst and supercrop them, I don't think I'll ever let an indoor plant grow it's natural Christmas tree shape again. I always end up raising my lights all the way and cutting off the bottom half of the plants to keep from having larf. It takes a lot away from the buds that are really getting the most light. So yeah, keeping an even canopy is very important.

So the nyc diesel had ZERO stretch. These two however, are reaching for the stars

Yea i like her smell to. I was mistaken about rhe bluecheese smell. That was the malasses and floroliscious plus stinking up the tent like rotten cheese lol. The carbon filter has to go in very soon. A week or 2 tops.
Where did this seed originally come from . Im impressed by the speed in which she matures.. this thing could actually be close to if not fully done in only 75 days. Amazing flowering speed

Got a new toy! This will help me harvest the autos on time. And it hooks up to my phone and has a button so i can easily snap pics for the journal!

Nic gig of a thread you gotcha self here GH! Question, what light schedule do you have your autos on? I got some freebie autos from heisen I was gonna run on my 6/6/6/6 veg schedule just for. kicks and experimental purposes. Blah the beans aren't viable tho.
I've grown 6' monstor photos in a 2 gal smart pots! They put out too for such a cramped rootspace, the root pruning of the smart pots alleviates a lotta issues tho.
