1K Watt GREEN CUSH grow

If your room had AC would you still use reflectors, if so what kind?
Of course. Without a reflector your bulb is going to be pushing light upwards and in turn you'll be losing light. A reflector does a few things. It obviously reflects your light downward towards the plants. Most reflectors are air cooled these days so you can hook a fan up to them and exhaust the light so it doesn't heat up your room. You can choose the shape and size of your reflector also which gives you a choice of a smaller more intense spread or a larger spread. I use the Magnum XXXL reflectors. They're huge and spread the light really good. They come in 6" and 8" ducting options. I use a 6" in my smaller grow and four 8" reflectors in my larger grow. All are running 1000 watt HPS lamps.

I get all that, thanks. The issue I’m running into is I'min a sealed AC cooled room; I can’t duct hot air out. I’m trying to find the “best”open reflector.

The adjust a wing reflectors are good. They're cheap and give a good spread. And they're adjustable so you can control the amount of spread. How do you not have exhaust? You can't push cool air or any air into a room that has only an intake. Think about how if you take a glass bottle and blow into it. You can't because it's sealed. Same thing with your room. I think you need to rethink your room design and add an exhaust.

grow looks good man, thats a lot of babies! what im wondering is what your gonna do when they get big, 4x4 tent... i mean that could be 1 big ass plant, or 4 med sized ones?

no air in or out, im supplying the co2.
You said you're using AC. If you have an AC blowing into the room then you're bring air in. If you don't have room exhaust or air cooled lights it's going to get hot and your AC will be working constantly (bringing air in). Logic tells me that pushing air into a sealed room will cause positive pressure. I would think the positive pressure would cause problems with your AC functioning properly. Another concern I'd have with your room design is humidity being too high. AC lowers humidity but what about when your lights are off? A room filled with watered plants can shoot up to 80+ percent humidity without ventilation. You can add a dehumidifier but just like an AC puts off tons of heat, so does a dehumidifier.

Today was day one of 12/12. The pots are getting light and will need water tomorrow. My canopy is filled out now. I use a PGR called bushmaster that's going to stop the initial stretch from switching to 12/12, creating tight node structure and massive tops. I cut off all the lower bud sites so I'll be getting all tops. They go to sleep in a couple hours. I'll take some pics and post them soon of how my canopy and plants are looking today.

I believe
Green Cush... a.k.a Green Crack 75 Sativa / 25 Indica
Pretty sure you're right about that one. I know absolutely nothing about this strain. I'm going to feed it as I would any other mystery strain. If it performs good I might do a larger grow of it in my 4000 watt room.

what are you hoping to pull off of all of them?
I haven't done this strain yet so I don't know what I will yield. I always shoot for 1 to 1 1/2 pounds per light. If I get under 1 pound per light or the quality isn't up to par then I won't grow that strain again.

I’m not pumping air into the room. The 5 ton AC unit sitsin the room constantly cooling the air in the room. When the lights are off theAC will be keeping the room at a constant 65 so the heat from the dehumidifiersdoesn’t matter. I just have to make sure the air circulation is more than sufficient.

Thanks for the tip on the wing reflectors. I think that’swhat I’ll be buying. The bulbs look naked just hanging with no reflector. lol

Day 17 of flowering technically. Really it's about day 13 of 12/12 light days. I got stuck out of town and so they wouldn't wilt up and die without feedings I had my roommate just unplug everything so they ended up spending 4 days straight in total darkness. When I got back I kicked on the light to see how they were doing. The room humidity was 93 percent and there were droplets of condensation on all the plants. The new growth was thin and light yellow instead of dark green and hearty. I foliar fed the plants 4 times a day with thrive alive b-1 (red label). The next day I fed 2 times with liquid light and saturator. 2 days ago I did another 4 thrive alive sprays and yesterday another liquid light and saturator spray. The new growth and all other growth now is dark green and really thick. There are hundreds of little bud sights filling up the canopy and I expect to see a lot of bud growth over the next 5-6 weeks before I add my end PK supplements for hardening and then flush. I'm going to pick up some ff open sesame tomorrow to start feeding them to give them an extra boost of early flowering over the next week or 2.

Starting tomorrow they'll be getting the following:
H&G coco A and B 6ml/gal
hygrozyme 8ml/gal
roots excelurator 1ml/gal
great white 3 scoops/5gal (one feeding once per week)
protekt 2ml/gal
open sesame 1/2tsp/gal
calmag 7ml/gal
sweet 20ml/gal
diamond nectar 8ml/gal
thrive alive b-1 12ml/gal
liquid light & saturator 60ml/LITER each (foliar feed)

I wasn't sure where to ask this so I'll ask you nomansf and anyone else in this thread, I was just wondering if anyone here has grown these two strains I plan on getting from Delicious seeds- they are Fruity Chronic Juice and the other is Critical Yumbolt. I will be growing ebb and flow 4x4 tray sea of green. I will be growing 32 to 36 plants under 1000watt hps. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these.I have never ordered seed b4, I have been growing local strains for years but want to step up my game. Thanks in advance for any info.

32-36 plants is too much for a 4x4 tray. I would go 16 plants and do 4 rows of 4. On my last grow I did 12 plants per light, only vegged a week, and ended up getting 4.55 pounds from 4 1000 watt lights. Here's the link to the grow: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/489458-4000-watt-sour-grapes-space.html

If you over crowd your plants they bud sites are going to be shaded and you're going to end up with shitty little popcorn buds that are airy and fluffy.

I am going with clones that are 8'' no veg time just good roots str8 from the cloner into 12/12. I will be trimming bottom growth to produce single cola plants. So I was was looking for a strain that would produce the best under these conditions. As far as to many plants, I believe 4/sqft is the norm for SOG. So in 6'' rw or square pot in a 4x4 you could conceivably have 64 but would lose 2 for the E&B fittings,I only plan on 32 which is half that number. I'm not trying to argue I just want to make sure I am thinking in the right terms. Perhaps if I started with smaller clones it would work better. I am looking for fast turn around times(no vegging) I am aiming for 1/2 oz per plant as my goal. I look forward to your reply as I respect your opinion and experience. I feel I am hi jacking this thread. Is there anyway to send PM on here. I may need your help on this.
