150HPS,2'T5,26w cfl DWC first time grow please critique/help

K guys so ive been readin around the site for a little and attribute everything thus far to this site i was just lookin for some insight and also checkin to see if everything is on track and lookin ok. i got 3 plants 1im unsure of the strain but im pretty sure its a 50/50 blend or similar too the other little guys are just some middy bag seeds my friend had lyin around. i have a sun systems 150hps thats directly over the 50/50 then i have a 26wcfl over the other 2 and a 2' t5 vertically mounted between the plants. im also running the lucas formula (micro/bloom) at 5/10 im not sure if there female as its a little early to tell... im running them at 18/6 light now but i wanted to switch to 12/12 in the next day or two. i was also thinking of getting a 400W hps about 10 days into flowering when the money is available... let me know what you guys think all input is appreciated

Yeah man, definitely too early to switch it over.
The longer you let it veg, the bigger and faster it grows.
How old are they? They only look around 3 weeks old.
Vegg them for a good month or two more and you'll have some nice plants to stare at lol

Yea they were about 3 wks in in the pics so I'll give em another 2 weeks and see why they look like... I'm definetely getting a 400w hps for flowering any idea what kind of yield I could get replacin the 150 with a 400 and any other ideas for maximizing yield ??

You could wait a week and they'll probably begin to show sex on their own. Or if your concerned about them getting too tall you could sex them now. Expect the plant to stretch to 3x in height once you switch to 12/12.

The 400 should yield at least double the 150..... If you get .5g/w (just for example) the 150w would yield 75g compared to 200g from the 400w.

I started off under a 150 hps pretty much same as u. 3 plants bucket systems 2 cfls 2 2 ft strip t5s. My opinion is... Flower now push them all under the hps use the fls for sidelights. In my experience that 150 isnt gona penetrate big ass plants so do more of a sog. the lights on thr sides will really help. i used lucas formula too but bup it to 6:12 hid recommended is 8:16 veg and flower but i notice 150 just isnt needing it. i flowered at 5 inches last time 3/4 oz a plant. good luck.

also if its a closet grow a 400 w hps is gona have heat issuesso plan on some ventilation as well. but if its not closet or moneys not an issue go 400watt or t5s are great for closet grows low heat great spread good electric cost.

I'm gonna get the 400 hps with the euroreflector ad 6" inline fan and I'll vent it out I'm gonna get a y connected and throw 2 26w cfls (2700) in there for flowering with the 400 and thn I got another space I'm gonna move the 150 and throw 2 26 w cfl's (6500) in for a veg room idk what I'm gonna do with my little t5 just yet. Possibly use it for cloning... But I'll have pics up in about a week or so I got somebody babysitting so they should be beast mode by then...

Dude go with the 42w cfls, way better. Like 12 bucks each at depot.

Instead of the 26 watters

Why not cut a cutting of from one and vege them for 1 week. Have the cutting to be your second backup grow

K I'll grab 2 y connectors and run 2 42w in the veg and 2 in the flower an I'll throw the 150 in the veg and move the 400 into the flower room... I took a few clones off the big plant about 2-3 days after that pic so it was a litle early but apparently there growin... I'll probably take a few from it again a day or 2 before I switch to 12/12...also thing I might grab some cal mag just for good measure, any other suggestions??

Hell yeah man, sounds like its comin along great.
The good thing I've noticed bout buyin shit, is it pays for itself after the first grow.
I really like the CFL, had a lot of success with them. I use the 26w, 10 of them and 1 42w.
The plants love every minute of them. And surprisingly they penetrate my 2ft plants.
Oh and bout sexing, mine showed pistils after week 4 veg 24/0

Yea as I keep it comin along it's like if I don't invest in better equipment then I'd be wastin the money that I've already put into my op... But everything has been a piece by piece grow that started with 1 single 2' t5 light(used) and a good bag seed.... And there around 4 weeks veg now but I'm not home and can't see them my babysitter isn't the best he can only do what I tell him to and he's not good at paintin a picture for me... But I'll have pics by Monday for sure I know there blowin up...

yoooo guys updates as promised... just got the 400 in so puttin that up and also grabbed a 42w cfl for fun... but its been almost 2-3 weeks since the first pics but you can see theyve been eatin their wheaties and theyll be hittin 12/12 tomorrow. i also got a pic of the clone i took from her about about 2 weeks ago.. let me know what you guys think, everything up until now hs been done with a 150 hps and one 23w cfl.

heres updated pics for those of you interested... they've been under the 400 12/12 for almot a week now...

i would trim like 5 or 6 of those massive fanleaves to allow alil more light thru not alot just one or two off each plant so it doesnt effect them badly but they look squshed together. other than that they look great good job.
