125 watt cfl for grow

Like a 30w clf has 2000 Lumen intensity (so it cant penetrate the bud deep enough thats why you get reli small buds)
125w Envirolite cfl 12000 Lumen intensity (Envirolites can penetrate bud ok still not great but still with more light it will)
a 400w hps has around 55000 Lumen intensity (hps will penetrate bud great up to 10 ft away)

So yh you want the 125w to be 2700k RED to help durning flowering

but still get 2 x 42w 6400k just to help in veg and then you should be good man
3 bulbs only 215watts which is good

your convinced to mix the two diffirent lights. Will the 125w 2700k not be effective alone for flowering?

I was actually planning on using 1 125w 6400k for vegging then swapping to the 125w 2700k for flowering not mixing the two together.

the 125w has the highest lumens with 12000 for any cfl so its the best and the only reason i say to use 2 x 42watter aswell is a mix of spectrums and to help i would defo do that


1 x 125w 2100k
2 x 42w 6400k

mixing spectrums is a good thing to help with both growth ..
yo if you but 2 x 125watters it will be fine but you will need to use both lights at the same time man ... .

Just give it a go man. I am doing almost the same thing. I have a 14000K 130W and a 30W 6500K going at the moment for vegging. Then I will switch to 2700K 130W and a 2700K 30W for flowering. Alot of people say it won't do too well but I am giving it a go anyway.

I am 2 weeks into it, if you wanna see my plant my post is somewhere in this cfl growing section.

I will keep you updated once I hit flowering to let you know how I am going, cause with 1 125W you are only supplying a little bit less than me so we should see similar results.

What strain you got??

I can only use one at a time. I only have one fitting.

LOL all you need is one 125w bulb and 2 x 42w and that will be good for 3 plants in flowering and if it doesnt you just get some 42watters


1 x 125w 2700k (12000 lumens)(the better one from the uk)
2 x 85w 2700k (5500 lumens each)

lol you can buy them from anywhere or but the wire and plug and wire it your slef like i did .

the big cfls 125w + has its own cable and plug as its a 13a

a singe 125w ecolite cfl is not enough to flower 2-3 plants.It'll do for veg but the plant just woudnt fill out with bud.I'll be flowering with 1 125w and 2 200w cfls

WTF you noob you cant just say that when 125w come in diff lumen output NOOB like some come with 6000 lumens but the new ones from the uk are 12000lumens

i got 1 x 125w and 4 x 42watters

and my mate has the 8000 ones and he grows 4 fat plants

Well i've been growing 6 plant under 1 125w CFL, and all have done really well (i only have a very small area, i set 6 off so i could end up with 3 - 4 females)

I set them to flower under 2 weeks ago, but i have change over to a 200w for flowering, all doing fine at the mo

I am sure half of these guys do not know what they are talking about.

I grow under cfl i have used a 18w growlux flo tube for veg and now i use a 50w cfl
and i have 5 flowers so far. I use reflectors
and that has served me well until my 125w red spectrum CFL arrives which has a reflector + hanger.

From my experience so far a 125w would be more then enough to do two plants they have been growing my two top44 well in about a weeks time i shall do a grow update of how my girls are doing under the 125w and i may splash out and get another 125w but i still still use my 32w cfl with those.

I worked it out it will cost me a few gbp a week to run my lights. its nothing compared too the cost of hid which i would never ever use due to the heat they create.

But yeah the 125w should be more then enough to do a few plants
i was growing 4 until i found out two of mine where male so i burnt them and now i am left with my girls.

can anyone send me in the right direction to a 2x 130 watt cfl growlog??.. interested on seeing some yeild pics. or harvest.. 2 x 2700 or whatever..

pretty devo actually.. had a 6400k for a few days and it shat itself.. emergency plan was 1 x 2700 and a shitty 15w led.. and that is vedging soooo slow.. new gear is coming at the end of the month.. 14000k n another 2700
