120v Light bulb on 220v

I'm wondering What will happen if i plug a 120v American light bulb in a 220 volt European socket.

I know it might seem like a stupid question to many, but I ain't no darn electrician
and I don't dare to ask anyone because importing light bulbs raises all kinds off questions?

It'll go burn out and go pop.

I don't know why you'd worry about importing, no-one will care.

Yea, It may run for a few seconds then "POP"

they have measurements of requirements on parts for a reason
