12/12 from clone flowering time.... stupid question

Hey everyone I am growing White berry from clone in an aero/NFT system and I have a question. Paradise seeds says that the flowering time of white berry indoors is 50 days, so my question is, is that 50 days from the day I put the rooted clones under 12/12 or do I alow a couple of weeks for the veg time they go through before showing signs of budding?

if they aren't flowering yet then you don't count that, trichome color should be your ONLY guide to when they are finished anyways.

The previous post was correct, but to answer your question, blooming starts 1 to 2 weeks after the change to 12/12. Days start counting when the plant starts blooming. Use bushmaster to induce flowering faster and limit upward stretch.

flowering time listed by breeders is from the day you switch to 12/12.

no it isn't. if that were that case strains would only really bloom for 4 or 5 weeks if you are blooming a seed plant instead of a clone. often times the suggested blooming time from breeders is a week or two too short. But if what you said were true they'd be off by more like 4. blooming time starts when the plant starts shooting out pistils.

sorry, but it is from 12/12. This comes straight from the breeders.

I if I start from clone then it starts form the day I put them in? I feel like they veg naturally for a week of two. I may be wrong but some experimenting should solve this problem.

its from 12/12 i dont know where u get ur seeds but most are around 8-9 weeks, and you probably wanna let your clones veg for a while before you put them into flower. u dont want to put tiny clones into flower and get tiny colas

So far I have done three grows from clone straight to 12/12 no veg time and they have all been 3-4.5ft tall and I have been getting anywhere from 8-10,5oz dry. I just wanted some clarification on flowering times.

They go from the time you switch them 12/12 . 7-9 weeks is the norm. 90% of the strains out there will be done enough by week 8.

Umm We would have to see this to beleive it. Unless you are switching them at a foot tall I know of no strain that will get that big from a clone not even close. I grow about ten strains right now and they get switched at about 8 inches and have lots of nodes, they end up 18 -20 inches max and half of them are sativas all under 1K lights in ebb and flow hydroton. The only way I could see this happening is if you had light leaks keeping them from blooming properly.

I grow on an aero table also...Flowering is flowering...there is no veg once the light goes 12/12...your plants are just growing more nodes and forming premature flowers. In 3-4 weeks you will have nice little buds

Check out my other grows. And by the way I grow in an Aero/NFT sytem. This time I have two tents on alternating cycles so I am producing atleast 8 oz every 4-5 weeks. The other new tent is a 600W Eye hortilux powered by a lumatek 600W e-ballast and all sitting in a Growbox GL145

Nice little setup you have there. Seeing is beleiving. I didnt realize Aero grew that much faster then Ebb and flo. How wide is the PVC going across the top? Hard to judge the scale of things in the pics. Are you 3.5 to 4 ft plant height? Blue Dream is a great strain.I switch mine at 8 inches and it ends up probably closer to 2 feet from the base of the pot. They yield like crazy too. I only use 5 inch pots so my roots are limited and might be hurting me a bit. If I could get away with switching sooner like you are that would help in a number of ways on my grow. I get crazy yields 2.5 to 3 lbs per light but I have to do 50-60 plants and I do let mine veg a little to really get growing before switching. Works but shaving a week off would be sweet.

man those suckers really stretch ! Must have a lot to do with no limits on the root zone like ebb and flow has. I actually dont want my SOG over 20 inches since I have so many plants. Impressive grow.
