Theres only so much 9/11 anniversary footage and documentaries I can watch. Im gonna save it all up for this weekend.

after Obama said we have to respect the feelings of the hijackers, it kinda left a bad taste in my mouth this year. But i will remember as I do such events with a "J" smoked in their honor at the appropriate times

Im glad to see that other people mirror my sentiment. Obama says we have to respect them while they laugh at us. Ill never forget, but its all the same people, and all the same videos that just piss me off all over again.

i hope you mean in the building if your talking about on the plane thats fucked up. this isnt a documentary its about a family there soon was on the south tower and saved 11 people from dying and went back up and then it collapsed on him. its a really good video.

TLC and (I think) Discovery are having 9/11 stuff airing a lot between now and the anniversary. It's good to be reminded of the scale of the attack, and how people helped each other, some dying in the process. IMO it's like the holocaust, something we need to be reminded of periodically

But it makes me feel good seeing how we can be in the face of something so awful, it brings out the best qualities in many folks

Personally, and this is just me, I think if I got killed in it, and there was a big massive memorial service, actually the entire memorial itself, I think all it is, is a testament to how wrong our security was at the time and how fucked up and laid back we let things get. It sucks that people died, but people died in hurricanes, tornados, ect and you don't see monuments. Why is this one so special? It's re-enforcing and fulfilling the goal of the original terrorists. And Obama is an idiot. I think a plaque would suffice. If I was a terrorist, and I mean this in a non-disrespectful manner, I'd be watching and laughing at the memorial service. I actually worked with someone who died there, and I know he would have felt the same way. In no way am I meaning to dishonor memories or upset anyone, but I think it's really really sad that it takes something like this to unite a country. Band wagon patriotism.

obama killed osama
Lets be perfectly clear. . .obama did not kill osama, navy seal team 6 killed osama bin ladin. Im sick of that guy taking the credit. From the special I watched, seems like all he did was look over a few plans that someone else drew up, picked one he thought was most diplomatic, and let the seals do the rest. All he did was sit and watch on a monitor. Probably played golf while the military was drawing up strategies.
