Maybe $4-$5? A 1000 watt metal halide costs you about $45... & make sure to get as big of a planter as you can fit to maximize your yield in that small space. Welcome to RIU. Good luck!

About as much as a 100w lightbulb? lol. No, barely anything really. You shouldn't see any significant spike in you electricity.

to slow this train down a bit - is that 100 actual watts or 100 equivalent watts? a 100 actual watt cfl bulb would be about 9 inches by 3 inches - really big - whereas a 100 equivalent watt bulb is only 23 actual watts and is a little bigger than a normal incandescent bulb. i'm betting you have the smaller light. all of this to say that you need a lot more light than that. check out the lighting stickies on this site.

Its gonna be a 100 watt actual.... the big ass 9in cfl........and like 300w+ incan equal......i would never veg anything with any lights with 2 digit wattage.....But thanks man, only 12cents and day ! (wipes forhead in relief).....
