1000W Room Size

Yea I might consider going with a tent, He wont know what to think if he sees a tent but if he sees a solid structure hes going to have alot of questions. Do they make tents in larger sizes such as 5'x5' ?
 
They make tents in all sizes. My tent is situated in my room so that you really don't notice that it's ventilated and all of that if its off. No one has ever discovered the tent, but if it happened it could be passed off as a "darkroom" for my photography hobby.

A room is never too big to grow in. If you make a room within a room all you will do is create heat and humidity issues for yourself.

If you've never grown before I seriously doubt you will get that much yield your first time, most likely will be in the range of 8 ounces unless you get very lucky AND the planets align correctly. Good luck.

I dont know what im trying to ask really guess im just trying to vent the frustration of facing the fact that realistically I should probably not attempt growing anywhere other than in my tiny closet :(

Im trying to come up with an idea so I can create a big enough space for 1000 watts And not get fucked over by a curious landlord

if its a personal grow you can pull,4 to 6 oz's every 100 or so days using cfls in that 2x3 space
 
8 oz?!? Na I figure I'll get an lb. at least and that's if I fuck it up. I got a 1000w bro. And I have a lot of experience as a care giver for 3 different patients. They all have 1000w all with different rooms and such but I've been there from seed/clone all the way to harves dry and cure. Ive learned alot in the past couple years. Probly about 12 or so harvests under my belt w a little help from the patient. Ive germinared, cloned to a 100% success rate(not hard imo) bent, pruned,veged, flowered, and everything in between. The least I saw any one garden produce was 1 lb. 3 oz. the most almost 2 1/2 lbs! That's hydro tho. They are not my personal grows but Ive been there for every aspect and just want my own room now so I don't have to go out for some stash...you know

Doing and watching are two different things. Not trying to bust your balls, but I have 2 1kw's and I know what I am talking about. If you have just been watching then you have never grown. I wish you all the success! You will get your biggest yield with hydro for what it's worth.
 
Hey midnight. What do u mean if the plants align correctly? If they all grow uniformly? I train my plants from the time they have roots about 3-4 ft under 1000w MH when they start to grow w vigor I drop the light right ontop of em. and they LOVE it up close as youngens. Then about 2 months they're about 3 1/2 ft tall then I switch to HPS and put the light to the hight where I want the plants. They all are same height and hella bushy. I'll get about 7-9 big a$$ soda can lookin colas per plant!! and some really nice satalites. I do VERY selective leaf pickin so the lower plant gets lit up, and during veg I mabey FIM it once or twice. But other than that I just let them do their own thing. I'm just hear to make sure they're happy, in-turn they do the same for me!
 
I agree doing and watching are two separate games. all of what I just spoke of I was the the gardener. So I guess I could call them "my" grows. The people who I help are disabled and have limited mobility. So basically they were the ones sittin and watching me do work. Teaching me all their old school techniques and old war stories. I'm a carpenter by trade and have built all 3 of my friends rooms, I garden for them and in return I never have to buy smoke again.

I hope I'm not coming off as arrogant or ignorant, just want to clearly verify my experience so I don't sound like another jackass just postin crap in here. I love this forum and take everyone's advice seriously. So thanks RIU!! And thanks to all posters in my thread!

Im going into my first grow with very little knowledge, but I do have RIU for help when I need it.


Hey midnight gardener, why do you expect a first time grower to not yield more than 8 ounces? If I follow a tried and tested formula for producing a good harvest what will make my yield so much lower? are bugs mold and deseases a constant battle when growing?

I dont know what I should be anticipating but your making it sound like its going to be really really hard
 
Huh...hard to say that doesn't look like that much. To me looks like less than 1 lb. so how much dry weight was that? Was it ur harvest or someone u kno?
