Is there still an argument that 600 watters are simply more efficient then 1ks, or is that outdated and incorrect now?

for our commercial grows a 600 is used for every 3x3.... 1000 used for every 5x5

So a 15 x15 would take 9 1000s or 25 600s....:-? the heat from 25 lights would cook the plants but your lumens would be higher :)

This is a 12 x 15

The advantages of a light mover are more than you would think. It's not just a matter of spreading the same light over a larger area. Think of it this way. You have a static bulb with 3 leaves directly underneath it in a vertical line. How much light is the bottom leaf getting? Now start moving that light.......Get my drift?

I understand what you are saying and the principle behind it but I think flowering plants require more consistent light than a mover will allow. I think if you have adequate lighting in the first place then you really don't need a mover. Especially with a 1000w light which can easily penetrate through the canopy. I guess it all depends on the height of your plants and the style of grow you have. I just don't see many guys using them for flowering plants. Just hang some CFL's if your plants are that tall or do like I do and rotate your plants around the room. I'd love to see some more info on it though.

Instead of moving the light...move the plants. Rotate them bitches by hand
That what I say. I don't want my plants only getting half the light (especially in flower) because the light mover has my 1000w on the other side of the room. With what you spend on a decent light mover you could be more than halfway to another light.

Yeah, i see both points. Moving plants by hand would be impossible in my case though. In any case, moving them a few inches every hour? But the other advantage is half the light over the same area=half the heat, half the extraction etc. All my talk is theoretical though as I've never had one, but do want one badly! The way I see it, it's all one step forwards towards the GPW.
