Hi Guys,

The strain is strawberry banana (bubblegum x Banana OG), an 8-9 week strain,
Im 10 weeks and 3 days from when i switched to 12/12 (it could be 11 weeks but not less than 10) and im not seeing any amber trichomes at all i think out of all the buds i checked, i found one amber trichome on a sugar leaf. Theres still quite a few white pistils as well, this is my first ever grow, i dont want to mess it up, im not impacient i can wait for better quality i just dont know why its taking this long? In the pics its hard to see the white pistils, but theres as many white as brown.

A lot of times plants will run longer than breeder times state. And there is also a dead period when you flip to 12/12, it takes a little but for hormones to change, I don't start counting days until I really see pistils coming out.

First off, advertising time to finish IMO is BS & you count week of flower not from when you flipped but from when you see the first buds forming.

Thanks guys, should i just go off trichomes to be safe? I think i want to at least wait untill i see an amber trichome here or there, thoughts?

Also i havent started a hard flush yet, im using GH nutes, in DWC, and 1 week ago when i did a reservoir change, i reduced nutes (ive only been adding bloom and micro for the 2 weeks prior) and i added the dosage on the packet of kool bloom dry, it REALY bulked them up, as everyone said it would, and since that res change ive only been topping up with PHed water, im just going to keep adding PHed water untill they get closer and the ppms get real low, then ill give em straight PHed water, throw em in 3 days of darkness and then chop

Does this sound good?

Just on appearance they look very close to done to me. I think I would call it done in the next few days
The flash on the camera makes the white pistils hard to see, its still 50/50 or less brown and white

I would just go by trichs. After you've done this a couple times it doesn't seem so tough. You'll get the hang of it, just do you best and try not to over love em.

From the time you flip the light cycle you have 1-2 weeks on avg before you start counting...ime
Yeah, just start counting any time you want so it will never be the same. Try counting when you see the first hair or start counting when a couple leaves clump together or start counting when it starts forming a small bud. Normal people start counting at the flip and it will be the same every time. KISS

Sorry, i meant 1-2 weeks on avg before you see pistol hairs.

But i always mark on the calendar the day i flip the lights over too...
