10,000 Watt Grow.........

TLD - I am thinking of finding a single spot in the room and take a weekly picture from there and update it, then put it in a slide show after a few months so that people can use there mouse wheel and watch the whole cycle from start to finish. I was thinking of once everything is 100% completely done about going through and doing a detailed walkthrough about electronics, hook-ups, problems, drainage, etc. Did you see the pics of the drain pipe running the trays??? Pretty ain't it. :)
We are now starting to see that delema, about what strains, there are so many. But we have both agreed to make a small Mad Lab room so that we can cross any strains we want. Maybe even make a new one. Take the Du/H strain we have now and add in a touch of blueberry!! It would be more than delicious.
We just moved the ladies last night so they are getting used to the new lights and room. Boy did they seem to like it off the bat. So there will be more pics with a finished room and ladies. Very soon.

hindsight is 2020...... I have found that keeping some plans in writing helps ensure they go through as they are supposed to, for me.... I like the idea about staying open minded regarding strains and even allowing for variety.... I really look forward to seeing what comes out of the "Riz & Shadies bean lab"! Are you going to leave the opening from tray to drainpipe? you don't think water will leak onto the floor there? It looks like they should be connected together IMO.... I look forward to the updates..... I really like the slideshow idea..... but would also like to see the progress as it happens ;)......

One of the reason I post weekly updates with pics and watering/feeding/technique details is so that if there is something Im not seeing, some good advice that can come my way, it can come from people like you and Riz on the spot and I can address the issue right then.

What up TLD!!

Yeah, we'll keep written accounts, so as we are going, we'll know where we've been, and I'll also be posting specifics as time and opportunity allow, so people can know what's up.

The drain pipe pic you saw was unfinished; I think you'll be pleased with the final design. Water is goin down the drain!!

Anyway, here's a few new pics of where it's at as of today. Still a few things left to hook up, but we're pretty much ready to roll........................

I'll try and do a little description of the pics, here goes.........................

R/o machine in action.

One res being filled.

I still need to hook up tee to other res.

24 gallon propane tank.

Plumbing.

More plumbing.

Room drain to floor drain.

Building ramp over drain pipe, not done yet.

Drain pipe coming out of room.

R/O drain line going into drain pipe.

Plants, plants, plants and plants:mrgreen:

Can filter 150 w/ 12" Max Fan.

Hydrogen Co2 burner w/ cold water in, hot water out, propane line.

Still need to connect cold water line, but I wanted to flush it before I hooked it up to the unit.

Cold water line activated by solenoid valve controlled by Co2 PPM meter. ( Meter reads PPM, activates valve as needed, flow of water actually turns on Co2 generator. )

Hot water drain line from Co2 generator to room drain line.

Table drain lines teeing together and leaving room. Drain was graded at 1/8" per foot. Gotta have proper grade!!!!

For TLD!! Table connected to drain line with simple slip fitting ( 3/4 pvc into 1" poly ), to facillitate disconnecting if/as necessary.

Tables and drain.

Tables and drain.

High-temp watchdog controllers ( the HPH's controlling the ballasts are connected to these via piggyback lines; temps get too hot for ANY reason, lights shut down. This is a MUST and a crop saver!!!!!! )................Also heavy duty timer, and Co2 PPM meter.

Fire extinguisher #1

Fire extinguisher #2

We also have a Co2 alarm that will be mounted inside the room, just in case.

Safety first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So there you have it. Mostly done, but still a little bit to do. Probably be completely finished in another week or so. You really never know. I don't anyway!!! Hahaha

Fuck it, I gotta go do work!!!

See ya!:peace:

I just wanted to say nice work. In a few months I'll be running something similar I hope. As long as my current house sells.

Cool! All i would say is that you get a carry size folder - Durable- as you plan and think of things wirte it down, and keep ALL receipts. If the laws go the way they are heading right now that could be a massive tax relief on a company when you open. Get me? :)
Also helps organize the room and steps with materials needed and materials odtained.

ANY ONE - if you want to do research on prices for room supplies i jacked this web site from the supply store when they answered there phones. (otherwise they always hide it)
https://www.pgsgrow.com/shop/

This is where alot of supply stores are actually ordering from, then marking the prices up from 15-100%. Order all in at once or in small batches and get free shipping.

I wish you well, but, to be honest with you, gear does not matter in the grand scheme of things. Here's hoping you understand what makes a plant tick.

Good luck,

First off i want to say AWSOME SETUP.

I say that because you put alot of work into it and im sure it is going to pay off in spades. I really looks like you know what you are doing here.

I just wanted to post a link to a thread so that you can see that there is a way you could have arranged your room that would make it twice as productive.

take a look at this.

The ORIGINAL THREAD CAN BE VIEWED HERE

20 x 1000 watt hps
08 x 600 watt hps
2 x 3 ton split a/c unit's
igs -061 co2 monitor w bluox burner
23 site hi flow dwc recirculating hydroponic system
Electricity runs 3300 every 2 months

These g13's are at 2 weeks and 3 days flower.

To say i finally have this room dialed in is an under statement, this is my best one so far !!!

sick sick sick!! It all looks sick! And it's a big grow indoor grow with SOIL! I'm stoked. because big/indoor/soil is what I want to do eventually. I've been wondering why I almost never see photos of big indoor grows in soil. If I can ask, why did you decide on soil? And what mix are you using? How many times can you put soil into three sentences?? SOIL lol. Okay overmedicated

Okay, WAY overmedicated!

I am doing a setup like this, but using soil. I am still piecing it together. Instead of buying everything at once, I am drawing it out a couple of months. Mainly because it is so much work!

Sup people!!

Thank's for the responses, and I just wanted to clarify for those of you who didn't read from the beginning ( shame on you! ), this is a SOIL grow, not hydro, and the medium being used is Roots Organic Soil, which will probably be amended with some extra perlite.

BUT, we are also using Smart Pots, which are far superior to plastic pots. They BREATHE, they dry out faster, and roots don't become "bound" like they do in plastic pots. Consequently, we will be able to push them more like hydro, more frequent waterings and feedings, while still retaining the buffering and stability benefits of soil.

So that's the skinny. Any more questions??????? Hahaha
