Looks like it has the potential to be a good grow op. I'm very curious about the Roots soil as well. I'm subscribing to this one.

A CO2 controller is honestly one of the best things we have ever bought for our garden. We never used CO2 before we redid the grow room, but I'm happy we spent the extra money to do it right. It'll pay off for you too.

Best of luck to you and hopefully you get some great smoke.

sounding interesting scribed, lookin forward to see this one think everyone concerned with heat is on the money went thru a few portables myself it just kills them if they get pushed too hard , KwiCool 21 duct is my choice found mine used on CL and it was the best thing ive got, thing rocks.

Damn, my thread went and blew up while I was gone!!

Ummm.....I'm gonna do it like this cause too many people have posted...........................

For the people that are new to me, or this thread I say WHAT UP!!! and thank's for takin a look and leavin a comment. I appreciate all the props and encouragement, for sure!!!

If you ask a particular question, I'll try to answer in a timely fashion, like so...........Yes, Baht is indeed the national currancy of Thailand!!! Do the conversion and there you go!!! Hahaha:-P

Leo!! You found me!! If I'da had my cammo's on you never would've seen me......like a shadow in the dark!! Hahaha

Slab, Ang and B, friends, compadres, muchachos!!! Nice to see ya here!! I'm doin my best to make the most out of what's in my head, feel me?? With a little help from some like minded friends I get high, and I get by.

Too bad you guys live so far away!!! But I'm glad you found your way here, and I hope you stick around!!

Cowboyframer, it's all good bro!! I feel your concern and appreciate your sharp eye!! It's goin up in stages, and we've since braced it up all the way across the middle along with end supports and will be adding a center vertical beam.

Good lookin out bro!!

Yeah, yeah, the fuckin heat, I know!!! Fuckin browbeat'n me with this shit!!!Hahaha............ Nah, I feel the love, I really do.

I know it's gonna be a tall task for the portables, but there's a couple things in my favor and/or to be considered.

One:I've got a 12 foot lid, so there's gonna be a little extra space for the heat.

Two: I live in the Pac. N.W. and cold weather's just around the corner. That should help.

Three: These really only have to work through the first crop, then we'll be upgradin. Split unit all the way.

Four: 8" vented lights should help dramatically. I hope.

Five: Like I said, if I can keep temps no higher than around 85 or so, things will be just fine. Even a little warmer if everything else is dialed in. I know those temps aren't " optimal ", but the shit will still grow, and grow well.

Anyway, thank's again for your interest in my endeavor and for stoppin by!!!

See ya!!..........................:peace:

And it would be a damn same for everything to get f-ed up because you went to light on the lumber. Just trying to be helpful not a dick. If you are storing things up top and hanging lights and ducts off the ceiling, the weight starts to add up real quick. Next thing you know your ceilings bowed your ducts are leaking then somebody goes topside and bang, your shits ruined. It could happen. I've had 2x10's bust because of a knot, and I weight about 240 with my bags on.

I hear ya, I meant the comment for Riz as a little jab. We put a support beam in the middle just incase we wanted to stick a few things up there. It's pretty damn solid. Now we get to hang cieling drywall 12' up, fun. Any advice or concern is greatly appreciated. I'm excited to see what comes of this. Stay tuned everyone.

Mr I Can Do That For Half
Im a carpenter by trade last 16 years or so 2x4s are fine for the cieling as long as its just 1/4 drywall and few lights I wouldnt store anything above on those especially considering the length is over 8 feet and you should have them no less then 16 on center wit bridging in between. if you gonn ahng ballast filters, cords and more then stuff on top 2x8 would be safer. If you go with 3.8 or thicker drywall then up to at least 2x6 at 16 on center as 2x4s over 8 feet get weak and bow quick and itll be hot so they will dry and get brittle quicker..Good start going here though

What up people!!

Got some more work done on the place. Put a 4x6 center beam in, hung a little more drywall and OSB, and got the plumbing pretty much dialed into the space along with a floor drain and waste drain for the wash basin that's gonna be there. I did all the plumbing, so I know it's gonna work fine. My shit don't leak!!

Also got the A/C units in, so it's only gonna be a little bit till everything is built, installed, mounted, and we can start a few dry runs!!

I'm startin to feel it and it feels good.:-P

FF, I think we're good on the strength of the ceiling now. We've been up on it, and it's stout enough for what we're doin. Only thing's gonna be hung from the ceiling are the lights so there's not gonna be a lot of weight. We'll see anyway!!

Thank's bro!!

Wow man this is crazy looking! Definetly had to get in for this one.
Glad to have ya Skiskate!! yeah, stick around, it should be good!!

So, here's a few more pics of the progress. I'll just keep postin as we go along, so go ahead and watch or comment at your leisure!!

Before......................

After.............................

Here we've got the drain connection for the wash basin, main water shut off, cold water for wash basin, and a future stub for a hot water heater...................gonna have to vent that drain, but I'll add it in sometime soon.

Here's a stub out for the R/O filter; I'll finish that up later, and also a little hosebib, just because I wanted one!!

Floor drain, nice and level.........................

It's all good!!

4x6 support beam................

Base...................

Top.........we've got it wedged pretty good also; gave the room bout 1/4" crown..................

Nice and stout................

Alright, somethin's buggin out with my computer, so I'm bailin for now.

See ya!!

It's all good man, just want to help. If you want to have some good ceiling support nail a 2x4 down the center of the ceiling joist with two nails per CJ, then nail a 2x6 in to the side of the, spacing the nails every 8". This is call a strongback or a stiffback depending on where your from. Hell it's probably got 10 more names. By doing this you could get rid of any support that is in the room. I figure I'd mention this incase you guys want to free up that floor space.
