1,000 Watt SFV Kush grow

Thats just what I am going to do. I had been questioning using just the cubes from the beginning but I had the buckets and medium so I just went with it, then after NGT brought up what I was already thinking I went with it. How can I not take advice from a grower like that?? Amazing!! I am starting 2 4 by 8 tables with all cubes with 2 1000 watters above each tray. I love the Ebb&Flow also, everything is so nice and simple. Clean once a week keeps all problems away.. Yeah the second set of plants were a lot better looking as well as rooted. Aero is the way for clones.. Roots are crazy..

Have a look at making some sort of covering for the tops of the cubes, I use garbage sacks, cut them to shape and then cover the top, just going to prevent algae.

Thanks for all the advise.. Today was a busy one. I drained and cleaned my res and filled it up with new food and water. I also transplanted all the plants in hydro ton buckets to strait cubes. I got all the cubes covered and labeled. This should save me a lot of work now and later. I got to see all the roots and how well they are growing, so that was cool. All the roots are looking good and white. The few clones that are slow at growth due to few leaves, are now starting to shoot out some nice roots. This last week in veg. will really get them going...

It's going to get bushy in there, but your
tray is huge so they should be alright.

What do you plan on doing about the roots
once they penetrate?

I was gonna ask you guys what you thought about barring them back in the buckets with the hydro ton at about that point. Like Ngt brought up I would be then saving a lot of hydro ton, and still leaving me to only water once a day having them still in the cubes. Then I dont have to lay down cocco mat, or filling my try up with hydro ton barring the roots and letting the roots tangle, since I like to move the girls around for as long as I can before they just fit where they fit. hahahaha.

Not all these plants will stay in this tray. I will only leave 13 to 15 and move the rest to another area for cloning or flowering.

You could also do what NGT does. Hes uses more rockwool, which
seems to be the easiest way to go.
I noticed your res. walls are fairly high. If you could get a longer
tube for your overflow, and sacrifice a little more nutes for the
increase in water, It might work out.

Maybe start off with half of the cube, then when that one is
penetrated, put the other half under that. I think 2 cubes per
should suffice.

i had to reread,i didnt see the change to cubes,things happen fast around here lol,so did you put the starter baskets right into the 6"cubes,and how many plants are you useing per table,good to follow your grow again good luck.

Yes they just went strait in.. Right now there is 30, but half will be removed and 15 will remain to be flowered in this tray. Thanks for sticking around for this grow.

I fucken love you guys!! hahahaha.. That sounds perfect. So just start stackin huh My tray sides are big enough to start with a half and move up another after the roots fill the 1 and a half cubes.. 2 cubes seem right.. I have extensions for the overflow now. The sacrifice on nutes is worth it..Thanks for all your help.. I love learning new knacks of all trades. Thanks to this site and people you we can grow our plants and minds together..

I lowered the light into place and raised the ppm to 1,000. After their first feed and hours later under the lowered light they seem very happy. I look forward to this next week before switching into 12. Who am I kidding I look forward to every week, every process of growth with marijuana plants are just amazing.

GJ saine, my setup and yours are almost the same except i use 4x4. I noticed you use those small netpots whatever it is i think starter basket? Not sure if its that necessary if is going to save you time and money that isn't really needed. Anyway you can put more plants into your tray, i use 4x4 cubes and i start flowering at 3 inches and i put in total of 35 per tray. This is where mathematics come into play, first i tried using 25(4 rows, 6 each row) and bigger plants i get a average of 30g per plant, then now im doing 35 small plants(5 row 7 each) which will yield me 25g per plant. So with only 24 plants i only get 720 gram just say thats 1.5lb, now im doing 35x25 thats 875 almost 2lb. I get more if i do the 35 plant one so im going with that. In your situtuation your using 6x6 cubes that will take up more space, and since that is taking up more space you'll need bigger plants to get the desired yield and make much use of your hugo cubes.

I see. That makes a lot of since. My only issue for this grow is having enough plants to fill my tray, due to the lack of mothers. I have had to rely on others to produce the clones. This is the reason I am going to remove some of these at the time of flower so I can use them in the future to clone and fill my trays as needed. I have been going back and forth on this issue of more plants or bigger plants. Your mathematics helps in choosing.. How long is your cycle? On my last harvest with the bigger plants I pulled between 2 to 2 1/2 oz a plant. I am also growing the amount of plants that I am legally allowed to grow. As stupid as it is I can have the same amount of little plants as big, its per plant, which kinda kills the sog method. This is what really got me going on fewer bigger plants. I have a few smaller grow rooms going up in a few places where this will work perfect. When started I will do a journal of one of those. Maybe it all works out mathematically to do it all this way. Can I pm you and give you my situation and see what you think? Thanks for your time!!

Well after a lot of work and separating I settled this 4 by 4 tray down. I am growing Master Kush, Bubba Kush, and 2 strains of Og in this closet grow. All my moms are extremely happy and doing very well. I had a bit of a scare with them and cut my clones in fear of losing them. Since then all the girls are perky and happy. I still have my other strains growing elsewhere. The mothers and clones you see in that Ez Cloner are a mix of Bubba, Master, 818 og, Banana Og, White Russian, Green Crack, G-13-Haze, NYSD, Pure Og and 2 strains of striate OG. I just got this Ez Cloner.. It is a 120 site cloner. It makes life a whole lot easier..

I don't know if I over looked it but how long has it been taking for your clones to root? Also do you notice a difference in the rooting time frame from the different strands.
