    I hate hydroton I use perlite haven't grown in a min since my buddy got busted but I'm a ebb and flow guy the only thing I'll buy is a flood tray I use to use rockwool but I found perlite to be alot cheaper plus you can flood the plants more than once a day

    Buy a 4x4 tray you can use an ordinary clothing tote for a res I'll go higher than 17 gals if I was you

    I'm 27 my first successful grow was in o7 I remember my nephew showing me a video of a guy on the internet with green face paint making a ebb and flow system since then I was hooked my best friend got busted a few years back I had to dismantle my dwc buckets

    Yes yes it's alot cheaper to run perlite vs 4x4 rockwool cubes you could line the bottom with mini cubes put cheese cloth on the ebb and glow fittings to prevent dust and residue from getting to the pump plus there's a filter bag you can buy to cover your pump just in case something makes it...

    You can put cheese cloth over the pots plus your supposed to rinse and wet the perlite beforhand add minirockwool cubes at the bottom of each pot it'll weigh it down
