    18/6 vs. 24/0

loada bollocks! plants that recieve there sleep are much healthier! it is not only improtant to photosynthesis but to root growth aswell, plants roots grow in the dark, when the plant sleeps at night it allows the plant to concentrate on root growth and not upward growth! the plants on 18/6 will...

    who is the light expert?

roflmao , were you get that from dude? 1.4 lumen per watt? my 600 watt sodium sunmaster produces 90,000 lumens on a lumatek digi ballast, not using the super lumen switch! a thousand watt produces 145,000 lumens so i guess pound per lumen the 6's win hands down! 2 600's =1200 watt = 180.000...

    who is the light expert?

you say 1 ,1000 watt but 2 is another story! 600 watters all day long are the way to go! also bare bulbs are not as intense as those in a hood! the hood directs the light down, bare bulbs emit light all around there for only being half as intense as a bulb in a reflector! :blsmoke:

    Watering Questions.

easy way to water your potted plants, if the pots feel light water them! if they feel heavy dont water them! a simple rule of thumb used by many pro growers! when you water them try and get a 20% run off, out the bottom of the pots! this will ensure no salt build up in the bottoms and replenish...

flowering 30-40 % humidity! lowers the chance of mold no m8 the halide does not do anything good in flower! may be a mix of both for the first 2 weeks,(the stretch period) a couple of sunmaster's is what you need :)

    who is the light expert?

lol a 8 inch vortex would extract a room with 2 1000 watt lights, non air cooled? w.t.f? wouldnt extract the heat from 3 600's never mind 2 1000 watters! lol .

    who is the light expert?

yeah it worked, neg pressure is easy to control in smaller spaces than it is large one's, if your growing in a cab or tent yes its a good way to go, but with a room personally the old fashion way is a out performer all day every day!

    who is the light expert?

your link dont work! air conditioning is not always practical! and personally my plants love the fresh air!

    who is the light expert?

they are open ended shades, they let the room heat up were as air cooled hoods have the heat extracted from the shades and they dont heat the room up! dont know much about shades do you !

    who is the light expert?

would cool 2 air cooled hoods , not 2 adjusta shades! here we are talking about extracting the the whole room , adding a carbon filter to the eqausion id deffo go no smaller than a 10 inch extracta m8! but after 16 years of growing who am i to say! and i say adjusta shades becuase they give the...

    who is the light expert?

2 lights would cause bleaching of the plants in that area, you would have to use some serious 10 or 12 inch extractor ad at least a 8 inch for intake! You would have to have the lights 3 foot away from canopy to stop scorching! This info is so lame!!
  17. T

    who is the light expert?

Ideal lighting for that area would be 2 600 watters. In general 1 600 for every 3x3 area is a good coverage, id go with adjusta shades. Or you could go a 1000 on a light rail. 2 1000's is over kill. And the water cooled stuff is crap it alters the spectrum of the light and looses about 15%...

Please Help, Plants look like theyre dying!

first of all, for 4 weeks they are awfully stunted plants, you should start off using quater strenth nutes in hydro. then move up to half strenth. secondly it is never advisable to give the full dosage rate on the bottle, !! for hydro you want the e.c to start off @ 0.8 -1.0 , then max i go...
