So many views and so little comments... Well... I seem to have run into a problem!! I noticed some gnats flying around today... How big of an issue are these and what can I do to get rid of them... This lady is gonna get pulled in 3 to 5 weeks and I'd hate to have her get messed up from some...

Flowering light setup - opinions ?

Does the flourescent bulb you're asking about have any information on it? It may have the ####K listed or at least a serial number that you could look up on a search engine to find out the spectrum... try that... I'm assuming it's a high color spectrum since it is a blue light but that may be an...

Flowering light setup - opinions ?

Yes, from my understanding, when using CFL's: 2700K is best for flowering and 6500K is best for vegging so you are on the right track. Also, if I may drop my two cents on you, I would go to the hardware store and get a a Y-splitter for your light sockets, so that you could have Two 27K CFL's on...

Thank you for your input and checking out the grow:leaf: Prior to your comment about vitamin B, I've never heard of using it so I did a little research and can't find much information that is solid about using it for plants. Do you have any good links you could post for reference on this? Many...

Feedback anyone? Let me have your two cents please... otherwise I might as well stop posting... Thanks. Rundown: Some sort of GSC strain. 5 gal pot. 1/3 perlite 1/3 vermiculite 1/3 fox farm soil. Lights= 250 watt metal halide and two 55 watt CFLs

The me and the lady had a photo shoot today after her watering and adding in two 55 watt 2700K lights, one on each side. Here she is: Oh and why in the world does this website keep going down?!

    newly added CFL's

I'm not forcing anything on you. Do you come at people in real life with such a shit attitude or...? I was stating if you were running literally hundreds of watts worth of CFL's as you incorrectly were stating the wattage, it wouldn't be worth running so many watts and lights in cfls versus...

    newly added CFL's

When talking about CFLs you should list the actual wattage not the incandescent equivalent that is usually also listed... if you were using 900 watt between just 3 CFLs not only would it be way too hot, you'd be way better off with a 1000 watt cooltube for heat reasons and for easier setup. Like...

^ ^ It is some sort of Girl scout cookies cross w/ OG or Bubba or OG/bubba. Had a bazillion seeds from some dudes rocking an outdoor grow that slipped up on some males in the field... and man when I transplanted those roots were so tight it.... they looked healthy but definitely were screaming...

***need help then post your question here!***

Thanks. It's a little stretched but also waited way too long to transplant, it was in a 1/2 Gal container until 7 days ago (now it's in a 5 Gal), so that's part of the reason as well (and the reason my soil ran out of nutes, killing those leaves, I'm assuming is because the plant got way too big...

See how the bottom 3 or 4 sets of leaves are dead? Should I just carefully chop those off right at the stem?

Like mrblu said, I'm sorta assuming your using Miracle-gro too... which most people would say isn't the best but if that's what you're working with you can still produce good results, however, if your using miracle-gro: I would do a mixture of like 1/2 perlite and/or vermiculite and 1/2 MG soil...

Aaaaand here we are, a couple days after the transplant. She's now in a 5 gallon. Seems like she's thickened up even if only a little. Should I carefully cut off those dead leaves on the bottom? What do you think? Keep in mind it's a first grow and only under a Metal Halide....

First grow everyone plz read and reply

    1. Shop around and compare prices. An local hydro or good plant shop is more than an hr drive away from me so I ordered my FoxFarm planting mix and literally paid twice as much for it than I should have. 2 cu ft ended up being $70 bucks. Not cost efficient in my opinion but it was my own mistake...

Thanks for everyones input. I transplanted the plant into a 5 gallon bucket this morning so hopefully we will see some bigger growth popping up in a few days. I'll post a pic in a day or two. Transplant went smoothly though! A friend is tossing me some bags of FoxFarm Ocean Forest to use for...

How bad would it be to finish out with MH... the HPS i have is way too big for the spot. It's a 1000 watt cool tube hps... it'll be used in about 2 or 3 months... but I won't have a spot for it until then. I have two 55 watt flowering CFLs I could throw on the plant for now, I think, if that...

Are you confident that transplanting this late on in flowering won't hurt it? Because I have a 5 gal pot it could go in first thing in the morning, I would just rather get a little good smoke than risk fucking it completely up. The past two waterings have had 1/2 tablespoon of Fert w/ 2-5-3 NPK...
