I'm thinking of starting a vertical op (possibly a scrog arena) but have never grown vertical and don't know much about it. With a vertical bulb, is there any usable light directly underneath it? How big is the dark spot if say your bulb is 3 feet off the ground?

Know what I mean? If you put one plant directly underneath a vertical bub, would it get get any light? (I know vertical bulbs are meant to produce horizontal light and the plants are arranged in a ring around it.)
