i disagree, i like to trim all leaves off about 2 weeks before they get picked. It'll expand the buds a lot more

No IMO its good for them. I trim off a lot of leaves and it really puffs up the buds and lets light down to the bottom resulting in bigger buds at the bottom too

I think it would work. Plants grow towards light, no matter where it is. I bent one of my plants down and tied it there. Couple days later the tips did a u turn towards the plant (thought it wasnt upside down)

just raise your CFLS a foot. They might not get much light but they wont die!
