When to top plant?

Any ways you recommend me topping it? Should I bend it down once I top it? And I am using fox farm ocean forest soil.

I’m not recommending just saying you can at the stage your at. It’s a great way to control height and I do it and yes I will tie both branches down as well sometimes. Pretty sure fox farms can maintain a plant for a bit. Watch it and if it needs more then give it more, right now the leaf tips look slightly dark, a sign it’s got enough nutes.

You think I should just do some low stress training for now then?

I top my plants as I have limited height but typically don’t do a lot of training, indoor I only veg for 3 weeks tops so not much time for training. But sure you can do anything you want really and experiment

Do I top it from the very top node? This is my first grow. And how far down to I take off?

I top at the 5th node. Then again at the next 5th node and then again at the next 5th node. Then I see how it fills the space and might go again. I find the sweet spot for me is around 8 to 16 buds per plant. Less trimming and nicer sized buds. But I went to 32 on each of 4 plants and found it was about as far as i would go :D

Which one should I do on mine?

Count the nodes and pinch off the stuff that grows in the very centre when you hit the 5th. Look it up on google. FIM or top. I just pinch with my finger nail. I just did my babies in the veg box today when they hit the 5th. The worst that will happen is you delay growth a couple of days. You should end up with 2 to 4 new bud sights starting their nodes. A tutorial will help you to see what to do.

Just pinch that new little sprout thing off in the centre. It is sort of shaped like a y and you get the centre.

Ok so watch a video or look it up. With pictures you will see. It is very little you take off just the growth tip (the top that is coming out of the centre).
