backyard grow problems

Ok.
So i have a plant probally a foot big growing in a barrell type pot,and i have fish(skipjack)mixed up in the soil and the soil is miracle grow.the progress of the plant is just great,it grows bigger daily.Where im having problems is some of the smaller leaves towards the middle to bottom of the plant are getting brown spots.some of them are just looking weird too.And where i could use some help is that i want the plant to get some height,but im more intrested in how i can get it to bush out or how i can get more colas out of it.

OK so for nutrients, im using this blue miracle grow stuff that ive used before and then i put some root stimulator in it around the first week or two.So if somebody has some ideas of what they would use and what i should do,ill get pictures posted here later today and maybe you can get a better idea of what im dealing with.Thanks!
 
your soil has a lot of nutes, maybe too many
i would check the ph, and make sure enough water is draining through the pot so to prevent salt builup
a skipjack is an ocean fish so there may be a literal salt build of the nacl kind

yea?i think i have a ph tester,ive been wondering if i should try to use it.If i get some pics you think it would help?
 
pics would definately help. i use peters fert and i only give 1/4 strength. i agree it sounds like too many nutes. with the fish already there i would only give it nutes maybe 1 or 2 a month consider its outside and in your back yard. knowing you have skipjacks tell me your in the south probably florida and the growing season is long. so just straight water it and no more nutes for a month. i have the same problems cuz i do the exact same thing you do every grow and i usually cut the bottome 2 nodes cuz they brown off and die every grow. my plant is 4 ft now and about 30 bud sites its outside and i use catfish and 1/4 ferts

im so southern california,i dont know about florida though.ok.so im going to get off my ass and take some pictures.and i give it nutes about every 2-3 weeks,so ill stop that.do you have any idea on stuff to use for the budding process

there you go,not to good of a camera.maybe ill try getting a better one?well,tell me what you think,this is my first legit grow :)and the picture with the holes in the leaf are were bugs are getting at it..the one with the brown leaves is whats mainly my problem..thanks
 
looking good, from what's shown
the damage looks old, new growth is where it should be, good fix!
 
i wouldnt worry about them spots. everyone growing outside has those spots. when to be concerned is when you start loosing leaves. and usually the whole leave will turn if you have problems. yeah theres nothing wrong with that. theres so many outside forces like bugs spidermites deer and anything else. they look fine though they look really healthy actually. remember mj is a weed it can grow under hardly no supervision in the right circumstances. like in texas they grow on the side of the road wild.

thanks!thats about 5 weeks of progress,when i first put it there it just barely had 5 small leavs.what would you do about ants,do you know?tons of the fuckers are runnin around it constantly!i water that plant about 3 times a day trying to flush them,but the keep coming back
 
yeah i cant see anything wrong with the pics. i see most of the leaves are lower ones and thats natural. most cases you will loose those bottom leaves in flowering mode

hm,makes me feel better.do you think it looks nute burnt,or would you say i could keep giving feeding it every 1-2 weeks or so?
 
on the ants, well don't bother with water, ant chambers are pretty much impervious to water
not sure if they're a problem, probably not
i'm wary of poisons, so the only thing that i can think of that might be useful would be diamataceous earth, not sure of spelling
 
the ants i wouldnt worry to much about with it being outside like he said it would probably help with decomposing and arrigating

ehhh,somewhere around five.im more sure of how old more days than others..id say about 5 weeks in the bucket.the way i grew this origonally was i had some 90 day wonder seeds someone brought to me and i had saved them till i decided to plant them and so we moved around 3 that poped up right away to other people then a couple weeks later i had seen this one going and it was growing in kinda harsh dirt,not real fertile and so i put it in the pot its in now,mixed up the fish with some earthgrow and boom it grew like that.i have allot more confidence in what im doing now that people are telling me it looks good,because honestly i thought it was going kinda bad

syurp?like maple syurp?what are some nutes you would recomend too.?i had a buddy who use big blooms and that worked reaall good.but for now i use blue miracle grow crap
 
superthrive is what i had the best results for and i would only feed every 10-14 days. i usually feed every 14 though. its recomended to use molassis. but i wont go out to buy it just for a plant. so i use syrup and i put 2 tspns in a 2 liter bottle and i water plant thoroughly. im flowering now and i used syrup and i came out the next day and about 75% of my buds doubled in size. just over night. now they are full looking and worth taking pics
