First time grower? why dont you just try soil and pots, learn how to grow, make mistakes (which you WILL do), read up on the forum, 1nce ur certain you know how to grow then go throwing out money on a hydro system. hydro can have more problems then soil and you might just regret getting it.

The reason your plants are "streching" is bcs they arent getting enoth light, move the led light closer to 1-2 inches above the plants, wind does make them stronger but not when they are streched like that ull do more harm then good, just gather some soil around the stem so it keeps it up straight

You can use any you like, id go 50/50 its not a necesity bcs light is light, but to get bigger and denser bud u need a red spectrum light and for better growing in veg state u need blue 6500k spectrum light, its just "Better" but your plant will grow and bloom either which you choose.

depends on the size i think anything up to 125W fits in normal socket and from 150w you need a bigger socket, look on ebay there are some cheap 1ns there for the uk just search "cfl grow light"

I dont really understand pc grows, i dont see the point, is there no way for you to make a wooden box 1mx1m and put it somewhere, will be much easier and will yield a LOT more the a pc grow
