Burnt top of plants, what now?

I only cut what's dead and damaged. You ever had a house plant at home or work? It's like that. If the tips die you cut the leaf a little back. Mostly because it looks ugly if you don't, but also because some think it decreases the chance of your plants attracting pests. Meanwhile your plant...

Burnt top of plants, what now?

Use sharp sterile scissors and trim away dead tissue. Double check your setup and move on. They'll recover just fine.

    seedling

Nothing wrong with his containers. I start in one gallon. I could just as easy start in 20g only it would be a waste of space and soil. Using regular potting soil however can stunt plants. Not keeping the light close enough causes lankiness. Over watering causes root root and nutrient deficiency...

    seedling

Everyone does things a little differently. I like using Miracle Gro Seed Starting Mix to germinate, but then I switch to regular potting soil by the third or forth week. I typically grow 4-6 at a time using a single 200w CFL bulb and I keep the light about three inches from the top leaves...

Doing good. One is a little lanky but that's probably from pregerming in darkness. Keep your lights on them and check on them daily. You'll be fine.

    Good scope?

I like jewelry loupes over pocket scopes. Although if you really want to see detail and got extra money, get a digi USB scope

    Good Og's?

I don't have the full back story but I know OG means Ocean Grown and originates from west coast California. Today there are lots of strains with the OG name attached. As far as I know its just a marketing gimmick and you see this with other strains as well, like Kush, White Widow, White Rhino...

    Good Og's?

I been smoking OG 18 daily for about a year now. It's a good Indica strain, yields great, smells strong (old school chronic smell) , but the buds aren't as pretty as some other OGs. Mine came out a bit dark and fluffy so it doesn't move fast. Light green small compact buds is what people in my...

New growth is stunted, turning yellow/brown and appear to be dying.

Your most likely feeding to much or chasing pH by fixing what isn't broke. In closed systems like bubble, dwc, etc hydro nutrients are best. When growing in soil, traditional fertilizers based on manure and meals perform better.

What are the best weapons against spider mites y'all have found.

My go to is ice cold soapy water. Whenever I reach for something stronger I'm targeting a specific pest.

    When should I flower?

When I grew this strain it was pretty easy to tell. The flowers plump up and develop a nice deep green. It just looks done. However to be sure, look at bud with a jewelers loupe. You want cloudy white trichromes. Clear means it's not ready and amber means it's over ripe. You'll always have a bit...

    covering outdoor plants?

I wouldn't bother covering the plants. Let them flower and finish on their own schedule. Its not just the hours of daylight. My indicas finish in October and my Sativas hang around till November. Seedlings will die but established plants can take a beating. Main thing is to keep the root zone...

    How are my clones looking??

Looks like you forgot to post pics. Anyway, as long as they are green and upright your fine. I clone in a cup of water and just change out the water daily. Hasn't failed me yet. Usually takes two to three weeks to see major changes. Its normal to see some yellowing near the leaf tips. Again,as...

    Paper towel method not working???

Another trick I learned from the nice people on the gardenweb forums is sowing them, without presoaking the soil or the seeds. Placing the container outside in December and letting mother nature handle it all. Winter sowing was the nickname given to this method. Not for those with a few seeds...
