It might be due to the light actually being a bit close.. sometimes I noticed that seedlings were stunted by too intense light. One thing that might also help is making sure the air is moving in between the canopy and the grow bulb. Let me know if this helps man.. thanks!
My plan is maintain this scale the garden until the beginning of February. In mid-February.. I'm gonna push it up to 200 watts to get rooted Platinum OG clones vegging as soon as possible. I have been using 96 watt lighting system.. but I agree that I could have turned off a light or two had...
I think that a small oscillating fan would help with air circulation within the grow space for sure. Taking that first plunge can be sometimes be a doozy.. but with good environmental control.. you should be set for sure. I have been one of the idiot growers that has ruined a fresh batch of...
I use a wall heater to warm the room my plants are in.. When I let my room get too cold.. I started to get powdery mildew.. which didn't stop until I kept my room warm and dry. I think seedling heat mats will work well with a setup like yours.. I would hook up a voltage regulator to the...
If you can't temperature control the new air coming in.. it may have to be a sealed system for this box to work in a cold garage. The best place I recommend is a closet as long as the room is warm and relatively dry. The problem with mixing cold air into the garden is mold and slower plant...
That's pretty sweet setup for sure. I just use soil mixes to keep my mother plants going.. If I did an indoor flower operation I would tempted to go flood and drain myself.. Amazing results if done right.. ;)
I have never seen any mites or any other bug live to tell the tale after I get done with 3 consecutive sprays over a 27 day time span. I use 0.4 mL of Avid and 0.4 mL of Floramite for a total of 0.8 mL of pesticide for 1 liter of water. I use the same mix for sprays after infestation is...
Just like what Joe Blows Trees said.. seedlings need little to no light until the first leaves start to poke above the soil. 90% of the seedlings first energy to pop leaves and roots is pre-stored inside the seed itself.
I am not sure about compact fluorescent lights.. but I know with 2 ft T5...
Plants seem to love it though.. :) But yeah.. recently I have been taking it easy on the sprays..
Only have thrips now.. but when I saw those spider mites.. it was on!
This was my combination of each mix in the same spray:
1 Liter = 0.264 Gallons
1.5 mL * 0.264 = 0.4 mL Per Liter Dosage
This was my smaller bonsai type plant.. Blackjack strain started a clone under a T5 light going straight into flower outdoors.. Total height was around 1 foot. I also grew a 6-inch 1-bud plant about 5 years ago under T5 lighting.. and very much to my surprise it was actually quite potent..
